Fair enough - you don't like my opinion. I just call it as I see it. He learnt the game only 5 years ago yep all that is true. But I don't think it was unrealistic to expect more consistency from him than what we got. Tough gig I know playing where he does and with the way he delivers the ball.

If you're happy with what Mason delivers week in week out - good for you.

For what's it worth - your opinion ...pfft. About as worth as much as mine.
No on your last post
Reid on one leg
Kelly

Your opinions are noted

No the club agrees
Hence why we want a mobile forward foil

A Gunston
A McDonald

Bucks has said that it's hard to find a huge monster and apart from
Dixon
Lynch
Hawkins
They aren't around
He says Cox does that role for us
He says although not critical you're better off having than not having
So that’s why they are looking at trading him?

The club is looking for a trade because obviously they think there is a better value for money solution

Not looking at a trade at all
Wishful thinking on your behalf

I asked you to come up with a solution months ago

Note you still haven't

Tall poppy syndrome

We need forwards to present at the ball carrier and create an option

It's a bit harder to do that when we've soaked up a minute or so with 6-7 disposals which have advanced us maybe 20-30 m up the field and we're still stuck at half back while the opposition has pushed 3-4 extra players back towards our F50.

Forwards don't have infinite leading capacity and can't read minds, so when we're holding up the ball across half back and through the middle then we inevitably get corralled on a wing, which gives us one slow, congested avenue to goal and the opposing defence has time to roll extra numbers back in that direction.

All of our forwards are capable of hitting up on the lead and clunking a mark if there is space to lead into and the ball comes in quickly. Hell we score more often than not when we win a quick centre clearance, but that (winning a quick centre clearance) just doesn't happen all that often.

The apparent problems with our forward line are firmly rooted in what happens further down the ground.

What are you going on about? The news clearly stated they were exploring what they could get for him. While that doesn’t always mean a trade will happen they are clearly looking to trade him.

But why do sides overuse the ball? Because nobody presents so they have no viable options down field so they give a handball waiting fo something to open up

Both lines are at fault but the root cause on the ground has to be the midfield who insist on going sideways and backwards.

The cause is the forwards if they provide an option the mids would pull the tigger

The problem is lack of movement and any forward presenting coupled with the fear of turning the ball over on half back and being scored against on the rebound

Disagree moving on.

I doubt there are too many players the club wouldn’t trade for the right deal, but where are these reports or media rumors about the club looking to trade Cox?

I felt it prudent that this be highlighted

If it wasn't for masons efforts in the 2018 preliminary ,we would be forced to absorb how Richmond had equalled our long record of the four peat ,the mighty machine rated one of the top teams of all time world wide in any sport in the history of sport 😀

Time to demand that team and all players be given Legend status in that mockerjy of a hall of fame
Hit the phones, demand realism

Anyway thanks Coxy

Felt you deserve the credit

PS last night highlighted how hard it is to take a inside 50 contested mark
More perspective

Watching last nights game, it was eerily similar to 2011. The Cats got out to 3 and a half goals in front and then after half time they inevitably got reeled back in and then trampled on by a team with more fitness and run. GF's ( like most games) are won by the teams that "take their chances".
Geelong missed so many shots in the first half when they could have led by 40 points at half time.

Coxy took his chances in that PF in '18. We missed a couple of easy chances to seal it at the start of the last quarter.

You have to take your chances.

Kicks 3 goals in a 39 point win isn’t the sides leading goal scorer and is the only reason we won the game

Mate, even YOU must give the bloke credit for the way his grabs and goals in that quarter unsettled the Tiggies and helped other players around him grow another leg. He marked all night.

You got it 180 degrees wrong. Kindergarten view of history.

Richmond's B2B is largely due to their 2018 disaster.
Rubbish

Give credit when due
2017 win
2019
2020
Do the maths
They couldn't control mason in the preliminary

They easily beat west coast and now have 4 in a row
Heck we almost did with no backline
