i've been watching him all year,I've been prepared to give him a chance to prove himself, to show some of the potential that west coast saw in him.

i've now come to the decision that he is NO GOOD

he is lacking in all facets of the game,
he is not up to it!
we wasted a no 3 pick on him!!

ps.

is anyone aware that he is , rob woodhouse's nephew????????

Thanks for voicing your opinion that he is no good.

But hes going to be around for a long time.

Why we didn't pick Palmer I dont know:confused:. Recruiters got it wrong IMO. Still a good player when he performs but I still believe he has niggles with his groin

You're an idiot.

To be fair I would have never drafted someone with groin problems going into the draft. Any other injury OK but the groin is one mother ****ing injury

Should we give Koby Stevens back too? Shuey may have had groin issues also. Him as well?

Its not like Palmer is tearing it up. We won't regret passing on Palmer. However, we may end up regretting passing on Dangerfield and Rioli.

I presume everyone is aware that you are wrong about him being a nephew! He is Woodhouse's wife's godson and Woodhouse stood out of the decision on recruiting him.

What i dont like:
Undersized, too slow, not athletic, poor decision maker, kicking lacks penetration and is only accurate half the time, couldnt kick a goal to save his life (set shot or crumb) doesnt seem to be any good over head, work rate at this stage is questionable.

What i do like:
Good endurance runner, at least at training, one touch pick ups, can be creative with handball.

I would not be suprised if worsfold came out tommorow and said he has some (or could be prone too) sort of soreness in his groin because you would surely play him in the midfield more. Ebert, Scooter, and even Sheppard get allot more midfield time.

If his workrate, decision making and goal accuracy improve, he is played in the centre and he bulks up he can be a solid 200 gamer. I have given up on him being a star though and would expect everyone else thinks the same.

Low confidence

Also, maybe it's because he's a F!CKING MIDFIELDER AND NOT A FORWARD, get it right worsfold.

The guy is infuriating. The good time charlie act. The laziness. The chronic lack of development.

And it doesn't look like it's confidence he lacks. To me, he looks like he's got WAAAAAY too much of it.

Nail --> head. Good post.

If he isn't right, don't play him. What's the point of playing an injured Masten in the forward line? It doesn't make sense to me. Let him recover and hopefully build confidence playing his natural role in the wafl. We're not going anywhere this season anyway, and he's not helping the way he is playing currently. From what I've seen, Shepard has already shown more than Masten ever has. It sucks to say that, but I really mean it...

He played well when played in the midfield last season. Needs to be not played in the forward line at all.

Unfortunately, that would be the product of doing his second knee injury so I imagine the club is easing him back by playing a more outside role than a centre square one.

Should be fulltime there next season you would think.

Obviously only guessing here but mabye its an injury that doesnt just heal with rest? or mabye he isnt injured but could be prone to injury if he continually over exerts.

Theres only so much rest you can do for a knee injury. He does need to work it and it will take quite a while for the knee to build up to near full strength again...

Doesn't matter where we play him the fact that he is not a one touch footballer hurts him.

We picked him at # 3 so we are entitled to think he has very good skills. Sadly we are wrong. Yes he runs all day but he lacks finishing skills.

His lack of composure hurts him come game time.

Can he improve from here ...well we all hope so..... but when you compaire the skill set that Stevenson, Strijk, Hams and Smith..... bring to the selection committee you do wonder at this point in time if we didn't **** up this selection. Because for a # 3 pick he has not set the flame alight.

He's had a bad run of form this year, as DF said he did a very good finish to last year before being injured. As he starts to string some games together, he'll start to build confidence and with that comes improvement of skills. He actually does have very good skills, but at times his decision making through lack of confidence lets him down.

And have you seen Palmer kick??? Jesus christ he makes Naita look elite.

One good game in the WAFL after a major injury and straight back in.
Why does Woosha think this guy is good enough to get it all back playing AFL as cameo forward type?
Sick of making and hearing excuses for players. Not their fault they are getting selected. Lets pick players that are cherry ripe.
