I will admit that Pep is a genius if he can make Kolarov look competent at CB. I think that is beyond a miracle worker.

According to Poch Vertonghen is fully fit and available for selection. The problem is that neither he or Wimmer have played a minute in pre-season so it will be interesting to see if they're match fit. I do wonder though if Poch will take that into account and hand a debut to CCV, who he spoke glowingly about in the pre-match interviews/press conferences. It would be a very Pochettino thing to do, ala debuting Mason away at the Emirates.

Also, I highly doubt we'll play a midfield 3 of Dier-Dembele- Wanyama in many games this season. The only time I could see that as even a remote possibility is if we're away against someone like Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern in the CL. Eriksen is far too important to drop imo as he often drops deep to start our attacks and he's our best creative player so if anyone was to make way in that formation it would have to be Alli.
