I just want him to take accountability when we lose because this whole "we'll go away and talk about it and work on it so we are better next time"

That only applies if you then go on to win and put a plan into action to combat it because you did address the issues and make changes, if you're still sprouting that line 4 years down the road then maybe you aren't that good of a communicator.....or coach???

How many games do you let the Stewart's, Alir Alir's and Moore's have career best games every time we play them because all we do is kick it down their throat.

No need to worry. Nicks knows why we have started poorly.
ADELAIDE coach Matthew Nicks has pinpointed a "mental issue" behind his club's winless start to the AFL season.

We traded em away because they wanted to get the hell out. Betts wrote a chapter in a book about it. Jenkins the same.

We booted them. They had no market, and we ended up paying the majority of their contracts because no one wanted them

And their lack of market was proven correct

We lost players because of the culture. Our culture was completely shite between September 2017 and October 2020.

And it was never a deliberate rebuild. It was a forced rebuild because our culture f*cked us so bad.

And for someone who is so critical of the club about everything all the time - I have zero idea how you can't think that our s**t culture was the #1 reason of having a mass exodus.

Our culture had F all to do with it. Was the culture bad? Probably, it sure wasn’t great

Those players didn’t leave for culture reasons, players never do. The only one who left for same or potentially even less money was McAdam whose mind we tried to change.

Players don’t leave anywhere for hurty feelings. It’s all about the contract

Did our culture / unrest probably alert agents and clubs that guys might be gettable? Probably

Is that why players left? Don’t be silly

There were reasons, money was a huge reason. Money we refused to match/offer

The biggest single reason, before (but related to ) money, and waaayyyy in the distance hurty culture nonsense, was list management and arrogance

That’s it. No silly culture nonsense

We were (are?) full of conceit and arrogance - as publicly typified by Roo, but no doubt reflective of others in private - that we believed everyone was replaceable. Don’t want to here? Piss off.

Not for a rebuild, not turning over the list, but because we believed that no one mattered that much. Got a better offer, we’re not paying that - doesn’t matter, we’ll just carry on.

Look at Cameron & McGovern, both under contract and we didn’t have to let either go but we did because the club doesn’t need them. Both doubled their money, which of course we didn’t pay, because our arrogance

Lever, you want to be paid? Off you F, we don’t need you.

Keath & Greenwood - don’t you know who you’re talking to? Take those long contracts and bigger salaries and see if the grass is greener?

Our arrogance in thinking we could replace anyone, and didn’t need to pay up is why we lost them

They all left for money because we were up our own arse.

This club is still full of itself even now. Have they even considered that maybe Nicks can’t coach at all? Not even a little bit

Over the last 14 games we're 5-9, with those wins coming from Eagles x2, North, Port and the Gold Coast.

Really starting to feel like we used the 2nd half of last year to beat up some bad sides and convince ourselves we're better than we really are.
Those include very close loss against 4 top sides but then also a horrible loss against Essendon.

People didn't want to hear it last year, they were too busy fawning over the return of Crouch and close losses and how "good" our midfield looked (in losses)
