Just on the classification of maxwells what do people think it will be?

I think reckless
High contact
Low impact

Thats 5 activation points im not sure how that scores for rough conduct but with maxwell having no record its guaranteed to at least be a week off i would think. Because its finals i very seriously doubt it but it could also be classified as intentional, high contact and medium impact which is 7 activation points and a decent stint on the sidelines?
 
footy is a contact sport. nothing in any of the incidents from the game. hawks were very good and deserved to win. however, the only ones to be suspended should be the umps. whilst they didn't heavily influence the result some of their decisions were baffling and as has been the case through out this season. too many decisions are confusing and defying the spirit of the game. i only hope no one gets done for what is next to nothing and both teams have their best sides out for their next games and the best teams go on to win. and sadly for me, i can't see it being the pies this year.

Maxwell's was outside the rules of the game and it was an intentional breach where he made high contact forcing his opponent to go off the ground.

If the messages from the AFL are followed, he will be under scrutiny.

Simply declaring it a contact sport can excuse almost anything.

That's why I asked if he's ever been the first in except against those that I mentioned. Apart from being 3rd in, in his defensive work, he also likes to be 3rd in to the stoushes.
 
Hartlett got 2 weeks for less. Because it's off the ball, it's automatically intentional. Because puopolo came off the ground bleeding, it's medium impact. Bleeding from the face? High contact.

3 weeks reduced to 2 with early plea.
 
I hope Maxwell gets off with a reprimand.
It means that hip and shouldering a player to the head 30 mtrs off the ball to give him a blood nose and send him off the field, is more acceptable than going into a 50-50 contest and turning at the last minute and collecting a player in the head.

I WANT to see more off the ball incidents, because thats what we should be encouraging, instead of going for the ball. #bringbackthebiff

No, you're right. Their defence looked a lot better tonight with that weak prick leading by example.

He's a rubbish footballer and has been for a long time. He is also a very poor leader. Collingwood will be better once they move him on.

You're kidding aren't you? Have you seen the footage? Do you honestly believe the MRP will view running up behind someone 50 metres off the ball and dropping them, as a flippant piece of byplay?

Maxwell - 2 weeks
Roughead - 2 weeks
Tarrant - 1 week/reprimand
Gibson - 80 points
 
If that's the only footage available of the Maxwell incident, you couldn't suspend him on it. Surely they'd have to have something else available like they did for Johnson last week?
 
Maxwell was hilarious to watch. Absolutely looney.

I reckon he cooked just about everyone on the field. Even the Collingwood runner at one stage. Just plodded around baking blokes and flapping his arms.

Was quite a night for him, might need the week off to compose himself.
