This is the funniest bit.

"In 2018 former Port Adelaide head coach Mark Williams publicly stated a number of outlandish claims he asserted were facts. These were a key trigger in the AFL Integrity Unit investigation and have since been proven to be wrong by the AFL Integrity Unit and Safework SA."

Players, coaches and staff are often paid the consequence for poor performance and not meeting requirements on and off field. They are then often criticised further in the media by the same journalists.

When are journo's going to be treated the same playing level field for piss poor performance.

They should probably have had to handover millions due to defamation as well. Should probably be career ending and jail time for this level of dishonest reporting. The level of mental anguish this stuff causes could easily lead to severe depression or worse as well as the loss of reputation.

Haha I forgot about that camp, bloody hilarious wasn't it.
The one where they locked the players on the bus and played the Richmond theme song? Eddie Betts was given an indigenous heirloom to hold or something?

Best bit was when donny pyke and that CEO dude went and did a press conference to not talk about the camp "Hi we're here because want to talk about nothing! Camp? What camp? There was no camp?! Ohhhhhhhh... you mean that camp! Nah don't know what you're talking about, there was no camp and if there was it was great and everyone loved it".

My reading of this is that Collective Minds kicked up a stink and used Australia's overly broad defamation laws to manufacture an apology/retraction.

Just because the reporting of the story didn't meet a high legal threshold does not mean that the outcomes of the camp didn't have major consequences for the the Crows, or that the players who have specifically mentioned the camp and the fallout from it did not affect them. It would be absurd to think that a court ordered apology between journalists and CM means that the camp has nothing to do with the implosion of the Adelaide Football Club over 2018-19.

It appears the articles in question have now been retracted but I found this clip from The Sunday Footy Show of the Mclure's article being discussed at length which is pretty funny.
