Is the bit down the bottom about Leon Cameron's contract ending end of next year a typo? It wasn't mentioned in the main story part. I imagine he'd be under a little pressure if GWS don't keep moving up and into the finals this year. Not many sources of pressure for a GWS coach apart from the board though I guess and I don't expect him to get sacked. It wouldn't surprise me if the Roos to Goodwin transition happens a year earlier than planned but it wouldn't be called a sacking, some positive, mutual agreement type spin put on it I'm sure.

When Mathieson said "Keaysy and the boys are showing me around the town", it hit home that this is a much healthier way to introduce draftees to a new city. Some posters made this point a few months ago, but the mix of locals and interstate kids seems like it will substantially ease the transition for the interstate kids. They're all new to being AFL listed players, but hopefully they won't feel isolated in a way they might've in previous years.

Gee Skinner is a fair lump of a lad - if he can recover well and be developed well after his ACL, he may be the steal of the draft, not Mathieson

It's a personal thing but it goes well with blue shorts as they had in one photo - could be worth a look at

Leppa is a pro through and through I reckon and if anyone thinks he's going to sign up to coach Brisbane for sentimental reasons then I think they are mistaken. In this era clubs won't dump good coaches on a whim and it often means a bit of rebuild if a coaching change is made. Brisbane should re-sign him for maybe 2 years as soon as possible.
