I'll blame Leppa if we can't slot Hanley's mum straight into the senior side. She would bring a bit of Mongrel to the Lions. We need to flick our current Centre Half Forward, Lewis Taylor, to make some room under the Salary Cap and give Hanley's mum a run in that possie. I reckon it would straighten us up.
 
Most pleasing thing about the article is that Pearce's mum is here. Hope it helps things although not a great start.

Greg Swann on 1008 in Brisbane this morning:

- club will likely meet budget this year, despite on field results
- he's got some understanding of the Qld market now
- biggest difference between Brisbane and the big clubs is the size of the rusted on core
- pushed the youth angle: earliest picks last year in a long time plus Academy and they are all showing signs - not having all our experienced players around them makes it hard
- talked about injuries to key players
- Beams is training and looking ok
- acknowledged that it sounds like a list of excuses
- training and admin facilities is the top priority for assistance from the AFL - poorest facilities in the comp but need funding
- Airport site looks good - 2 ovals, gym, aquatic facilities with shared community use
- facilities will be a big focus of upcoming AFL Commission meeting
- Important to remain in Brisbane council area for identity, player convenience etc. BCC want them to stay.
- always in the market for good quality players and assures supporters that they are having a crack (very vague on this and didn't respond directly when asked about Jenkins)
- playing more direct footy (at pains to say we didn't change our style)
