Would be extremely excited if Chris Fagan came to the club, even if in his current role 'GM - Footy ops' (or whatever it is). Guarentee he would bring some quality assistants in or if not he's extremly experienced in moulding assistants. Dream combo would be him in a GM role and Ratts as head coach I think. Getting super excited just thinking about that combo!

Lynchy just on SEN giving a balanced and articulate view of our situation to Bartlett. Was one of the best I have heard, right down to issues like none of our old premiership players staying in Brisbane-they aren't even around to call on in tough times.
Don't know if there has been a move by the club to get him involved, but when talking about the Lions I kept hearing him say "we" a lot.
I was lucky enough to be out on the road when he came on. He summed things up very well IMO.

I'm baffled at how the likes of Malthouse, & media outsiders like Barrett, get all this airtime to basically make the argument that 'because our facilities etc need work, we don't deserve a PP.' It's like saying "they haven't got any butter so don't give them any bread."

Seeing as every TD&H had said their piece about us, I'd just like to see how the season plays out then brace for a measured & constructive review amongst the actual parties involved. The mouthpieces are obsessed with us down here ATM.

andy maher and brett anderson on SEN trading places saying there are whispers starting re pearce hanley wanting out. also pointed out that chris fagan :thumbsu:would be a great choice as a new head coach.

Can't see it given he's contracted until 2019. No one will pay him what he's currently on after this year either.

I know it's only minor but l am not a fan when he says "this game is winnable" or "we think we can win this game" meaning that there are a whole lot of other games he doesn't think we can win. This will seep into the playing group knowing who they are a chance against and who they arent. We saw how much run they provided against Essendon but it is no surprise that against other teams the run the we saw wasn't there. They didn't believe.

Interesting conversation on AFL League Teams last night on Foxtel.
In previewing the Lions vs Carl game, Ben Dixon said that looking at both lists, he felt that in 2 years time we would have the better list.
When it was put to the other 3 panel members, Hall went with Carl (just), however, Shaw and Brereton went with the Lions. Dixon was very positive about our young list. Hall was very positive regarding our tall forwards, in particular Hipwood.
Brereton also mentioned that we are a huge chance this week, as the belief in the players to win (similar to the Ess game) will be huge.

The campaign against a priority pick begins in earnest.

"I would've liked one last year"??????

That sounds like he's gone and knows it.

...... or does it mean "I would've liked one PP last year"??
Pretty sure it's him pointing out that we asked for a Priority Pick last year and were knocked back. Spin to point out that we've been in spoon contention for a couple of years. Possibly also a bit of a "see, we told you last year we needed help"...

I think this is the media putting words in his mouth, i.e. they ask, "Do you guys see this game as winnable?", to which he obviously responds in the positive. I've heard him say on a couple of occasions that they go into every week with a plan they believe can get the job done against that particular opposition.
