The official stats have him equal fifth?

Apparently sorting by column on my mobile was too much for me me. I sorted by checks notes contested marks :drunk:

I'm am probably over-reacting and looking for a scapegoat - a senior scapegoat - Gaffy just isn't passing the eye test for me atm. Hopefully he keeps building as I'll readily admit he's extrememly unlikely to be dropped.

You're not the only one. Did I genuinely see someone suggesting we should drop Ryan? Yeah, his first half was trash, but he was instrumental in our game once it got going. Ryan isn't a four quarter player but he is a game-changer.

I don't subscribe to the Credits Crew, but I do wonder when is the last time we dropped a fairly established player to go find some form? The only one that comes to mind for me is Sheed in 2018, and it lit something in him when he came back. Did it wake up the rest of the team? We did go up a gear around that time, contested ball through the roof.

Now I know Sheed is more established now than in 2018 when he was wishy washy in and out of the side, it's just the most recent example I can think of. He was B22 on talent but not form that year.

We shouldn't drop a player just to send a message but if we do want to stamp out senior player complacency, knocking someone back to the WAFL would send waves through the playing group as it hasn't happened in quite some time.

Two weeks left of WAFL scratchies and then it's into the real stuff. If we hit round 4 without a couple of established players not pulling their weight, I really hope the club pull that lever.

Interesting to note that Simmo said he had to have some hard conversations with players regarding selection in the lead up to round 1, which he hasn't 'been able' to do for the past 2 years due to player availability.

Wonder if we might actually see him swing the axe on an established player soon?

Gaffy just isn't passing the eye test for me at the moment.
How i feel too. He is accumulating and running the kms but is he actually contributing to gameplan or improving the teammates around him?

I only just watched the video, that was great! Schoey asked some excellent questions off the bat and seemed to have much better chemistry with Simmo then Goss did. He added follow up questions along the way which offered good insight as well.

It's strange listening to Simmo, he sounds like he definitely knows what the problems are. The question is, does he know how to fix them?
What vid is that??

After missing round one with an ankle complaint, Jai Culley appears ready to make his return to the AFL side.

West Coast are hopeful Jai Culley will be available for senior selection as soon as this week after a calf concern ruled him out of selection for the club’s season-opener against North Melbourne.

The problem I see, is we're getting hammered now after losing away by a kick.

Can imagine the scrutiny when we start playing some of the best sides and get smashed by 10 goals plus.
It depends on the performance, honestly.

Losing to a good side while trying to implement a new style of footy, I think we'll all be good with. There wasn't really any reason why we shouldn't have beaten North on the weekend. Being smashed in the contested ball tells us the players continue to pick and choose when to go, and it's hugely frustrating.

Lose to the Giants and the blowtorch should be applied tenfold.

Kennedy had a lot of credits in the bank ;)

They forgot to take his micro chip out when he retired.

Also the fact he is doing a lap of honour and tossing the coin this week along with a lot of his mates still playing probably excludes his opinion.

I was more confident of beating Norf than I am of beating GWS.

I can see some huge defeats away against the top sides.
We really need NN back asap.
