In light of our domination of the Foxtel market and 8 interstate games, I was thinking of the possibility of gathering all the members on here to meet at a venue around Melbourne and watch the mighty Roos.

It would give us an opportunity to mingle with other posters on here and great a positive atmosphere.

Somewhere like the NMFC Social Club or a pub that would be convenient. Lets follow the lead of the WA posters and form something similar in victoria .

The Captains Bar for instance?

If they got a room in a pub at North Melbourne I'd be far more inclined.

What about Mckernans Pub, im sure he would be only to happy to oraganise the Roos beng televised for such a great bunch on supporters such as those on this board

I have repeatedly posted on here about going to the Captains Club at TD. The drinks are cheap. The company is great. Even if there is a game on you get in without paying so long as you do not go out and watch the game.

Royal Blue, why would you want to go to a pub in North when the money you spend, no matter how little, goes to our club?

The club always have a note on the web site about the bar being open to our supporters but sadly hardly anyone goes.

The West Coast Eagle supporters use our bar as a meeting place for games that are on Fox and most times get more there than we do.

It would be great to see more people there, especially BF people.

Who cna pay for petrol and train tickets to get to the bar! I hope north can cover them.

Anyways anyone who travels on zone three, get ready to get rid of them as there will only be Zone 1 & 2 which covers Victoria.

Customers who have been travelling on a Zone 2+3 ticket, will only need to buy Zone 2. Customers who have been travelling on a Zone 1+2+3 ticket will only need to buy Zone 1+2.

From 11 February, Zone 1+2+3, Zone 2+3, and Zone 3 Monthly Metcards will not be available from ticket machines at train stations. Customers may purchase Daily or Weekly Metcards instead. You can still purchase a Monthly Zone 1+2+3, Zone 2+3 or Zone 3 Monthly Metcard from the Booking Office at staffed stations.

Customers are encouraged to use up their Zone 1+2+3, Zone 2+3 and Zone 3 tickets before 4 March 2007. However, they will still be valid for travel after 4 March in all of the newly extended Zone 2.

Because I really dislike going to Telstra Dome for anything other than the footy.

Thanks Bracksy.

As much as I am p i s s e d off with the TV we are not the Foxtel kings. Carlton have 13 foxtel games, Hawthorn 14, North 12 and Geelong 11.

Why?

And by the way if it is a Sunday a Sunday Saver ticket costs $2.50 all day no matter what zone you live in.

ps. the barmaids are hot.
Given the option of putting money across a bar at a pub in North Melbourne or at the Captains Bar, I know which I'd chose.

Hmmm, maybe that's an idea for the club once it jumps out of the Captains Bar contract.

Answer the question. What is wrong with the Captains Bar as a venue to watch Foxtel games?

Given the choice between another bar and the captain bar, i'd find it a heap easier to go to a suburban bar, where I'm not fighting the crowd of the game played at Telstra dome, or having to pay to park down there.
