What was Jamie Shanahan's career goal tally?

None, Zip, Nil, Zero

He is actually 4th on the all time list of most AFL/VFL matches without kicking 1 solitary goal.

Ted Potter = 182 games
Gary Malarkey = 172
Les Gardiner = 166
Jamie Shanahan = 162

The all time record is held by Rod Carter who played 293 AFL/VFL games for only one goal....and we all know who that was kicked against don't we.

By the way that is not my question. Only some trivia.

yeah i remember he got ko'd, but i thought there was something unusual in the way he got ko'd. that was an awesome game to watch, the roar after walshy bagged the goal that put us up just b4 3/4 time was awesome, cant believe we lost.

anyway, who sits 10th on Melbournes all-time leading goalkicking list?

I think you could be right on Robbo. From memory we couldn't kick a goal and Powell took a gutsy mark at around the 50 mark and was flattened by a Demon player. Someone else had to take the kick and went on to kick the goal, I remember thinking 'great, each goal is going to cost us a player today'.

Well Norm Smith is number one with 550+ goals I think, Neitz is only a few behind, Lyon finished on 426. I am guessing the 10th best goalkicker would be between 250-300 goals. Maybe Russell Robertson.

That match just finished right now on Foxtel. I got home at the half way mark of the 2nd quarter. Powelly was already off injured. But in the final term, Robbo and Ooze clashed heads and both went off.

Such an electrifying match, one we should never have lost.

yeah it was a great game to watch, we should never have lost, everything was working out nicely in the 2nd and third. when walshy bagged his second at the end of the 3rd quarter was probably the loudest roar ive ever heard at a game from melb supporters, it was awesome. either that or when powell kicked a goal in the 2000 prelim, just before half-time, put us about 10 goals up, pretty much sealed a berth in the granny, that was awesome

Let's get the ball rolling again.

I had a ripper question yestersay, but I forgot.

Oh, now I remember. In Round 1, 2003, Brad Green kicked the winning goal with just over 1 minute left on the clock. Which Melbourne player passed the ball to him on the Great Southern Stand side?
