For those lucky ones - is anyone still pinching themselves about actually getting tickets?
Standing room will be fine, a tip and I'm not sure if it's still an option.
In 98 our standing room was in the middle of the oval but it was packed, so we kept moving towards the pocket and found a bay not crowded.
It was excellent, heaps more mobility and close to ammenities.

After outlaying probably 2-3k over the last 19years for Gold membership...no. Just thankful I'm finally seeing return and reap the rewards!

The issue this year is that the tigers have a huge demand given their supporter base
corporate packages are sold out, and were asking 1400 plus

I was referring more to the priority 2’s who took the chance in the ballot and were successful. It’s understandable that those that have invested in Gold would feel like you though.
The difference between ‘I wonder where I’ll sit’ and ‘I hope I just get a ticket in’.

Yep - on the MCG post game. The Killers will do a set and the winning team will be presented. Best of all - it’s free for everyone, so those watching from live sites can come in and join in the fun too.
Not sure what the plan is if we lose though.

They are supposed to check tickets for the standing room sections and in 2014 & 2015 they did have people checking but they didn't check everyone all the time so you can be lucky. Some standing room is better than others. Ponsford end standing is excellent. Only 2 or 3 rows of standing, everyone can see. Great Southern however packed in like sardines so need to be there when gates open to get in the first 3 or 4 rows as it ends up about 12 people deep. Great atmosphere though.
Damn, recon I'll be going down and joining the standing room crowd, watched from there before and its a looooooong way from the action.
Edit: just read the thread - standing room is 'reserved' too? so I can't just wander down for a better view?

Club website implies that there will still be Priority 2 members getting allocated tickets today. Also contains a word of warning that if you got allocated a concession ticket, you can't change it to adult and the person who rocks up to the MCG has to be a student etc.

At a packed event like the grand final, I suppose they say that so the already-restricted standing view doesn't become worse from seated people wandering down. People here have been saying that unfortunately the Punt Road end standing room bays don't offer a good view as it is.
I've sat right in front of a standing bay at that end (for a Coll-Hawks game), and the atmosphere was terrific but I don't know how well the standers could see. Even from the seat it was a shit view (behind the goal) but hey, we're in the grand final!
What about the club? Will they have a function?

Those numbers are just on the Gold member premiums alone (generally been $100-$150/year over that time). This club gets plenty of my money! And I'm happy to do it!
Got legends tickets and still no deduction?
What gives - supposedly guaranteed tickets?
Have been relying on my old lady resolving this since they're in her name and I'm starting to panic because she's fairly useless at this sort of thing
