Re: Arsenal
Sadly, this is going to be the case for a few weeks... the team is horribly underdone, with injuries and the like, and I fear that by the time we have any semblance of our preferred starting 11 Man U will have taken a bit of a lead.
Arsene had his opportunity to prepare for losses like RVP and Eduardo... Arsenal is the richest club in the world by proxy of paying very little comparitively for its players and not utilising the funds from the Henry sale.
Realistically, Arsenal could target absolutely any player in the world and be able to come up with enough dosh to lure them... I think we should have made a bigger play for Anelka or even made a move for Berbatov, anyone to back up Adebayor. Problem is, Arsene is overconfident in his player management and growth skills. Theo Walcott has been mooted as the great hope for Arsenal and even England for about five years but only managed to score his first Premier League goal last week, against Birmingham at that... there needs to be measures taken to have some established reliable players join the club.
And Adebayor needs to pull his head in... too selfish or stupid, I don't know... there was at least two clear goals that could have been scored had he passed to Bendtner in the game against Birmingham but he obviously is still feuding with him.
I'm worried and I think, unless something changes immediately, this is going to be the year we consider what could have been... six weeks ago we were on track for the treble... now, we could end up empty handed.
We have a real fight on our hands after a very ordinary performance against Villa. Villa outplayed us and we were very lucky to escape with a draw (even though we scored both goals!). Lets hope to regroup and get RVP back ASAP.
