Need someone young I reckon that will start from scratch and patiently build their list to a premiership team in 4-5 years time. Need someone with patience, youth and little experience. Mick is too old!
 
Sad to say that MM is a dead man walking as the saying goes. Besides his lack of media awareness skills there are just too many bad decisions on his record at the Blues. Just to list a few:

Making Mark Murphy captain.
Playing Henderson as a CHF when the guy is much more valuable to the team as a CHB.
Playing Walker as a backman when the team needs play makers and goal kickers in the forward line.
Recruiting Daisy Thomas when the type of players Carlton need are tough footballers who make opposition players look over their shoulder.
Recruiting Buttifant. In the 2 years he has been there the players have started the season the least fit of any AFL team.
Not persevering with Casboult. Something not right there in the coaching as his kicking has detoriated. Never thought that could be possible.
Not preserving with Watson. Two years ago there looked some hope for this kid. Not now.
Making the wrong decision about Laidler.
Losing the heart and mind of Jeff Garlett.
Persevering with kicking along the boundary plans.
Persevering with too much negative tactics like taggers and run with players.
Playing Wood and Warnock in the same team.
Making statements like Kruezer not being big enough to play ruck.
Making other stupid statements like premiership window and can't see any team beating us etc. Some cringe worthy stuff comes out of his mouth.
Carrying grudges against the media (even though some deserve it, he will never win anything for marketing or support for Carlton doing it)

I could add more, but what is the point. It is clear for all to see. Now he has lost the players as it is clear to anybody that knows something about football that they are playing as individuals and for self preservation.

As I said................ dead man walking. It is just a question about whether Carlton and MM can do the deed with dignity.
