Malthouse goes, Wiley will probably follow his friend out the door.
Buttifant needs to go, our fitness is shocking since hes come in.
Green, Osborne, Capuano, and even Webster i think should go.
And for **** sake can someone please escort Barker out the door! I pray this will be the year.

When selecting coach, we need to think long and hard.
Bring in a untried coach (tudor, dew, basset) then bring in some quality assistants around him (McKenna)
Bring in a new fitness coach.

Not sure how anyone can defend Mick atm. Sure the players are crap and look like they're done trying. But Mick is coaching pretty awfully - just mind-boggling tactics and selections.

Does he not watch other games? We play slow, boundary line footy. Nobody plays like this, nobody. The top teams don't and the bottom teams don't, so why the **** do we? It hasn't worked since you left Collingwood and spent a year out of the game Mick - accept it. Several taggers? Just gives players a negative mindset and terrified to leave their opponent and apply no pressure. It's exactly how Melbourne played under Neeld.

Smith has shown nothing as a player. Why is he being gifted games ahead of Graham who has spent the best part of 2 years tearing up the 2s? Nothing more demoralizing as a player and sometimes a team when unfair shit like this happens. Really hope Graham sticks around too, but wouldn't blame him if he doesn't.

Micks built teams and has a track record, doesn't mean he can do it again with Carlton.

Its not just malthouse, our assistants are arguably the worst in the afl and our development of young players is horrendous. i think a young coach with a completely different attitude and fresh ambition would work wonders for our guys. We are stuck running 1 failing game plan from a legend of the game who needs to step aside now. Our backline has no direction forwards have no leading patterns and midfield are a shadow of themselves. Im not going to slag mick off as i think thats a reflection of yourself more than anything but i do think its time we look elsewhere and mick takes nannette on a long long holiday.

We're winning stoppages which is Laidley's domain.
Bullants are playing with passion and although I haven't seen them play you'd have to give Webster a tick.
Not much else is going right.
Mind you I'm not sure you can coach for the butchery that we put up week after week.

We need to sign up Sav as our kicking for goal coach. Casboult looks better with his kicking. I reckon Collingwood will try and lure him back for Clokey.

First post for the year and most likely my last. Have been deflating to watch our team this year. Really turned me off football.
From round 11 last year our record has been 4 wins 15 losses.
These are the teams we won against during that time. Saints twice(look where they are now), North Melbourne(no idea how this happened) and Gold Coast(look where they are now).

If that statistic doesn't tell you that we are a lock for bottom 3 then what does?

My personal opinion based on my own uninformed ideas is that the coach's strategy is not working out to our player's strengths. But what the hell do I know.

Micks gone..no plan b, can't remember when he's made a constructive change this year! When behind no changes, Whiley gets his ass kicked and he doesn't move him??? Sick of the defensive style when we don't have the skill to get it right....

Full rebuild and total review of all assistants needed, could name 10-15 player who shouldn't be on our list and that's pretty sad...
Hurting so bad but only one way up from rock bottom if the club has a plan in place... Let's hop they do

Sorry to intrude but this issue is of interest to many. MM was a great coach. Like most great coaches of the modern era he seems to have gone to the well once to often and is past it. The difference for mine between Mick at Collingwood and Carlton is Brad Scott, Guy McKenna, Scott Waters, Mark Neeld, Nathan Buckley v Rob Wiley, Dean Laidley, John Barker, Brad Green, David Buttifant etc.

Micks final years at Collingwood were littered by dynamic young cutting edge assistants. Guys who may not have made great senior coaches were at least recognised as excellent assistants who were modern in outlook and complimented Mick. His team at Carlton smacks of Dads army and a desire to prove his ideas are timeless. Getting Buttifant when Collingwood had deemed that his ideas had become outdated smacked further of this.

Sorry but we need your team to be better for the strength of the competition. As hard as it is for me to say that. You administration has been stuck in yesterday for too long and I reckon Mick and the "old" team he has bought with him just perpetuates that.

I think this observation is on the money

My first few comment's on BF were about why Walker was in the team or on our list, tonight couldn't have proved me more right, he was not the only 1 but I thought he was the worst by far and that's saying something... Right now we are the worst team in the comp and I don't see the point in keeping MM even if they are rebuilding, we are in deep strife and a change of coach should only be the start, the most embarrassment I've ever felt walking out of a ground... Another nice Monday morning bagging from the boys at work, actually I'm calling in sick...

Three coaches in less than eight years. Gees we're a good club!
We have made some pretty poor decisions in search of the quick fix. Not sure when it will dawn on the club we are not back in the 80s/90s.

Speechless. Truly insipid. Bad deaftin, bad coaches, bad game plan and bad execution by the players. Lets hope we dont trade pick 1 for a couple more gws wash ups..

Smith and Graham thing seriously annoyed me... Nothing against smith (as he has huge upside) but he should not be in the team atm ahead of many others. And then just to make it worse he subs off Buckley?...

Yet again the press conference was a shambolic incoherent rambling from this old fool, can he **** off already?

Mick, it is time to pull the pin. The players cannot or will not adhere to your game plan and your leaders are giving you nothing on the field. Murphy and Gibbs are now ordinary players who are on long term 500K+ contracts and just going through the motions. As an outsider looking in, the players do not look fit enough.
Your coaching legacy is safe, however you are now going down the Dennis Pagan path where everyone will only remember your last gig. With hindsight we should have never taken you as coach. I don't believe you got over being asked to move on at Collingwood. Eddie for all his faults gave us cryptic clues, however our Board once again fell for the three card trick believing a head coach could work miracles. You beat Jock McHale's record and it is a record that will probably stand for a very long time. We have GWS, Geelong, Sydney, PA, Adelaide in the next five weeks. If the previous six weeks are anything to go by it is going to be a very depressing month and a bit.

Everything Barker touches turns to shit regardless of personal.

Mick loves him though. Capuano failed as a ruck coach. Brad Green was an extremely weak captain for Melbourne ( forward line/midfield coach )

Whiley hadn't coached in over a decade ( development coach)

I'd piss off the whole lot of them.
