Joel Blythman TTU (Hasnt played for a couple of years but looks ok)
Some players that didnt play last year but have gotten themselves fit, including past premiership players, and a couple of other players that we have been working on over the summer.
Allan Chandler is coaching.

Seems asthough newborough will pick up abit, Pluggeroo can you see them jumping into the top 5, if so who do u think they will replace.

Can see Bill Rilen has been cleared back to the Doggies - might make the dogs competitive but I too cant see them troubling the top 3

Very hard to judge, mate. I have seen 1 game of Mid Gippy in the last 5 years and as far as Im concerned, the Prelim in 2009, Yarragon V Morwell East was just disgraceful footy.
I really dont know how the other teams go, but we will just put our best team out there and see how we go. Hopefully a few that havent played much in the past couple of years, or been dedicated enough will step up and give us something.
Would be nice to play finals but I wouldnt know who we would replace or whether we will, in fact, get there. Its all new to Allan, Blythy and myself.
Looking forward to round 1 against Hill End, though. Cant wait.

So who is everyones top 5 for 2011? I thinks the gap between the top and bottom sides this year has narrowed. Last years top 4 have all lost/may lose players. It should make spots 3 to 7 on the ladder particularly interesting!
My top 5 (in no particular order);
Trafalgar
Morwell East
Mirboo North
Yinnar
Yarragon
Close team (i.e. 6th): Thorpdale
Of course this is more of a gut feel until all of the lists have settled.

quite a few Yinnar players went over to morwell over recent years and have now returned..
People would be crazy to think they would gel straight away as a team..
to think they would finish above Traf who obviously have a young and very talented list would just be rubbish...

Any truth to the rumor that yarragon stipped bear the money tree last year to try and win a flag and that all the recruits will all have to take at least a half pay cut. If this is the case there may be a few late departures when it come time to finalise match payments.

Obviously havn't seen Kyra play much over last 2 years. Fit, tough at footy and would be in best half dozen in the league. Would be a great asset to Moe/Wonthaggi, but won't leave Traf. I've heard he'll coach them next year anyway!!!
If he returns to Moe he certainly won't be an assistant coach, he couldn't hold down a senior spot when he was there last!!

Mate keep your ear to the ground Yarragon in bad shape lost solohub and damshankento woodside 3 others to hillend and apparently only 8 attending training also rumoured that Coach Loyyd Bergmann gone to Nilma ? yet to be confirmed
And hillend would need 13 recruits to be a genuine chance, YYN are the movers and shakers at the moment,

Thats what im hearing apparently 50+K over spent by the coach compared to the committe allowance,
Already 6 that i know of have left and training is down to the bare minimum,they wre always heading down this path since they started the payroll 3 yr ago

Dunno about Bergman going to Nilma. Their 2011 Reserves coach, Glen Bawden has gone to Yarragon as they are related. Guess we'll have to see if there is a clearance put in.

I didn't say he couldn't play, just that he wouldn't be an assistant coach there and he couldn't hold down a senior spot when he played there last, both facts!!. If you continued to read the thread you would know my opinion on Kyra in it's entirety. Having played with and known Kyra for a long time, I know what he's capable of. Tune in!!
And I'm assuming your saying he'd be in the best half dozen in Mid Gippy which i'd probably agree but to say he'd be in the best 60 players in the Gippy league would be laughable!!

Garbage, Solohub is playing at Wonthaggi, Damskee is at Yarragon, not lost any to Hill End and Burgmann is coach? Where do you get this garbage? I've heard they spent over 100k last year and are about 40k in debt! Interesting times ahead. I think Burgman has a lot to answer for!
