For Ken to stop picking McEntee, he'd have to admit he was wrong. There's more chance of those words gushing forth from the mouth of Donald Trump.

Nah. There certainly can be good and effective pressure forwards at AFL level (e.g Powell-Pepper). Jed just isn't one.Have said this before and will no doubt say it again. The pressure forward is the biggest myth in footy.
SPP i’d argue is much more than a pressure forward. Kicks goals, has crumbing ability and can take marks. He isn’t a midget forward running around like a headless chook.Nah. There certainly can be good and effective pressure forwards at AFL level (e.g Powell-Pepper). Jed just isn't one.

Yeah but this isn't even the problem with McEntee. The problem is that he doesn't even actually have those skills. In a perfect system, we don't need a single forward dedicated to chasing and tackling. Every forward should be expected to apply defensive pressure when they don't have the ball. By this metric, Charlie Dixon is a pressure forward.
It's an indictment on the coaching staff that we need some sort of specialised small forward who has these basic skills as their only attribute.

The best pressure forwards in the league average 4+ tackles per game. McEntee doesn't even average 3.
I personally agree with you, but the problem with McEntee runs deeper than that.If he was averging more tackles and still not touching the ball, I still wouldn't want him in the team.
This is our biggest need in this off season. A fast high pressure small to mid forward that is also an offensive threat.I personally agree with you, but the problem with McEntee runs deeper than that.
I don't think that 'specialist pressure forward who isn't there for their offensive impact' should be a role that exists at AFL level. But even if we accept that it should, McEntee still objectively isn't actually good at that role.
If for some reason we feel that we must have a pressure forward, go out and get a good one. Beau McCreery, Nick Holman, Sam Switkowski, Alex Neal-Bullen, Toby Bedford, Lachie Fogarty, Sam Wicks. All these guys can go at 4+ tackles a game.
Pretty much all he's done lately is have 1 kick for 1 goal - at least he's a straight kick.If he was averging more tackles and still not touching the ball, I still wouldn't want him in the team.
I agree with him but how does Chad Cornes even know what supporters say about Jed, does he sit there trawling social media and forums lol.

No, but he's definitely the worst to have been given 40 games or however long we've been playing him.I think it's time to pose the question. Is Jed McEntee entering the conversation for our worst AFL listed player ever?
At this point I'd rather drag the corpse of Simon Phillips back out than give this spud more chances.
