Milne charged with 4 counts of rape

Sorry…can't let this slide…I posted this on our board in a discussion about the St Kilda players passing the hat around thing...

My point…Milne wanted to involve himself in vile and depraved behaviour, therefore opening himself up to what has happened. I feel sorry for his family, but he will never get one ounce of my sympathy. He is a pig of a man, guilty of rape or not.

Funny thing is , when I read "pig of a man " the first person I thought of was John Elliot, then the first thing I remembered was "Carlton party in a Brothel" which reminded me of the girl who was paid off.

So Yeah.

Jeezuz dude…if you think I'm that naive to be adopting this stance from a, My club is holier than thou perspective, good luck to ya.

John Elliott is a pig of a bloke…if I could be arsed I'd look up the twenty or so times I have put in writing that he can GAGF...

I am prepared to stand by what I wrote as a member of society, not as a Carlton supporter. If I come across as preaching…whatever…couldn't give a shit. The fact that Milne thought it was ok to swap girls in questionable circumstances, with excessive amounts of alcohol involved…yeah, I feel pretty comfortable with my assessment of his character, irrespective of the judicial outcomes.

Consequences. People should think about the concept once in a while.

Obviously.

Google "Rape" , "sentence suspended".
You will find that in most parts of the world people are getting away with some pretty bad stuff.

Thankfully our system has done away with that sort of travesty.
However, rape ranges from statutory rape ( ie an 18 year old boy with a willing 15 year old girl ) to the guy lurking in the alley with the knife.

The punishments handed down by the court are usually commensurate to what has happened.
( we hope anyway ).

But who know's if you form a political party, called the "let them all rot in jail " party you might get a senate seat and affect some change.
Too late, I called my party 'palmer united' ... we did pretty well

Milne and Montagna were the only ones drinking.

Vile and depraved behaviour? As it stands he had sex with a girl at a mates house. The girl isn't some naive waif corrupted by an evil influence. She willingly had sex with one man and the dispute is whether she had sex with another man soon after.

Guilty or not they are both adults.

As I've said…I'm pretty happy with my stance.

You seem to be saying acceptable(?), I say vile and depraved…maybe I should have said disgusting, but whatever...

Guilty or not they are both adults.

This adds absolutely nothing.

Well you basically say its all Milne's fault and the woman is somehow tricked into being there. They willing went to the house to have sex. They proceed to have sex. The rape accusation is when they decided to switch partners.

Somehow this is vile and depraved by Milne. Is it vile and depraved by the women as well? They decided to be groupies after all. Fully sober as well.

Since your reading comprehension skills are so low, I'm gonna self-modrate myself outta this thread.

I find Milne's behaviour to be morally reprehensible…he may well be legally innocent, a few posts back I said I have no idea, hence I'll leave that for others to decide.

I have made no comment whatsoever on the alleged victim's role in this, and nor shall I until it plays out in court.

In any case…SBYM…BANNED!

You seen to have missed the bit about the boys deciding to switch and not telling the alleged victim.

So he may be legally innocent but morally (according to you) guilty so he deserves it anyway.

You won't comment on the alleged victim role's before the trial but you will judge and find guilty (in your mind at least) the accused.

Which just proves my point that Milne is being judged to a different, harsher standard.

I'd hate to see how Russel Brand or some of the rock bands from the 60s to 80s would be judged.
Then there are all these swingers clubs and things I hear about.

Prosecute the sinners.?

Well that is contested.

Might want to wait for the trial before claiming that happened.
Its all contested at this point, but if we're arguing about the morality of what happened why should some of what os claimed be ruled in and other info ruled out, other than that it helps the poster I was replying too's argument?

So what did Milne do that was morally wrong? Keep in mind the rape is only alleged that this point.

As it stands all he has done is have sex with an adult female who was sober.

They are both adults. And one of them said No.
