Yeah you poor thing, end of an era and only three measley flags to show for it, you must have been crushed :D

Tell you what, guarantee my team three flags in a row and in the following season you can end it for us by flogging us by 139. Hell I'd even go as far as letting one of the Scott Brothers come out of retirement and kick 11-0 in that match. ;)

I will go one step further. Give me 3 flags in my lifetime and you can bend me over and do anything you like. Not that you would and not that theres anything wrong with that.

hopefully milney stays away from the s words in his speeches

but in all seriousness he has been one of st kildas most consistent performers n terms of goals kicked a year and should be given the opportunity to prove him self

Clearly the coaching staff at Moorrabin know more than the average supporter, but it does seem like a strange decision.

St.Kilda seem to have quite a few suitable leaders, both young and mature... why they would promote someone of Milne's nature into the leadership group is beyond me. Forget what he's done (or hasn't done) off-field, a tiny forward pocket who is hot one week and cold the next, is hardly leadership material.

If Thomas wins a flag, everyone will call him a hero, if he fails he'll be spat at. You haven't really done anything right until you've won one.

Since when did Average Players consistently kick 50 goals every year for 4 or 5 years??
Since when does the best small forward in the AFL only an average player
Stephen Milne:
2001: 27 goals
2002: 50 goals
2003: 26 goals
2004: 46 goals
2005: 61 goals

Does not equal consistently kicking 50 plus goals every year for 4 or 5 years. Therefore must be average.

Kicking goals does not make you a leader. Personal qualities a respect of peers makes a leader. If Milne is a leader at Saintland they are in big trouble. . . . .

Who would you want in the life raft with you........Milne??????

Stephen Milne

-Games Gls Pts Gls/Game
2001 17 27 20 1.59
2002 21 50 11 2.38
2003 14 26 19 1.86
2004 21 46 22 2.19
2005 24 61 20 2.54

-Tot 97 210 92 2.16

210 goals in 97 games at an average of 2.16 goals per game

...and you have to admire the acuracy 210 92

There would be a few KEY forwards who would love those stats.

Shows that Milne has made a success of the most volatile position in the game.

It is also totally irrelevant to him being in the leadership group.
