if taty can get everyone on the park and firing i rekon they will have the eagles covered... just think there are a few at the eagles (especially Scholl) that if u shut down they get in a bit of trouble... matthews was nowhere near the form he was in in round 1 on sat... not sure if it was just a bad day but he prob had at least 3 times the opportunities and kicked less goals...
taty have a lot of heart amongst the players which is what success and playing together does, not sure if the same passion for each other is evident down there at hawkesdale...

Why does everyone on here seem to have a problem with Neil Kelly. He is not getting paid as much as u all think, he may have only played 10 mins this year, but from what I have seen he is doing a good job out there. Some of you on here really should check your facts before you write such crap about people. And I'm not just defending Kelly. Why don't u look at the good that players do and not be so jealous of others!!!
The Woorndoo boys will tell you different!.....no way were they going to match it!
Who really knows!.....but that's the figure that has been out since last year.
These forums are all about opinions and discussions.....and yeh some shit and light-hearted banter.
Don't get too wound up and upset mate...........and for what it's worth we actually do praise players up as well, but maybe you have some selective reading problems!
As for Kelly, well I get on fine with him, but there are some certain perceptions of him out there, and thats for all to digest and ponder I suppose.

Agree with all of that......just wondering whether they can get their players up and running and match fit enough to really challenge.
Did hear that Matthews has had a few niggles over a couple of weeks.......to my eye did not move as freely as normal at times........may rest this week against Glen-Dunkeld.
The shutting down bit will be tough, cause as well as Sholl.....Hetherington, Jelbart and Habel are also prolific ball-winners, that hardly waste it.
Anyway, it should be interesting!

i respect you point of view but i will have to disagree, hawkesdale have a great midfeild and you can spend a lot of effort trying to shut them down, if you say quote, shut down the likes of sholl(which no one has yet so far)
you still have another 4 quality midfeilders to shut down,with the likes of habel, hetherington, jelbart, and still to come back peter jebart which is only going to add another great midfeilder to contend with, and as for no spirit how can you tell its not there when it really has not been pushed, good spirit in sides is when your down and get back up, hawkesdale have not been tested in that way, but the spirit hawkesdale do have is putting sides away and playing to the final siren in which taty have not been able to do on a consistant basis, i hope taty do get all there players back because it will lead to a great finals series.

Thanks 2 u 2. I have been reading these forums for quite awhile and I do agree there are some valid points and I do see that players are praised for their efforts, however some should maybe think before they write things that could be wrong or may just be hear say. That's all I meant like I said I'm not defending Kelly, I just think he is not as bad as what has been said about him and yes he might have won dual best and fairest, but I'm sure that is becase he was the best at the time. he can't be that bad a player he came third last year and the demons certainly weren't on the bottom of the ladder then.

Of course the Woorndoo boys would think that. All I know is Kelly wanted to coach again (He has coached East W'bool) and he wanted to coach Woorndoo. From what I believe he was the only person who put in to coach them and they didn't want him. I know there are no hard feelings there on Kelly's behalf anyway. The opportunity came up to coach and he took it, regardless of the price offered. And from what I can see he is having a good go at it. Not sure what he will do next year? Will this be his last year playing? Who knows!!!!??

Must admit the poor bloke has had a prick of a run this year.......firstly cheekbone, I think (correct me if i'm wrong).....then he was saying some form of meningitis, which had him in hospital for ten days.....if he does not rest up properly, it could lead to chronic fatigue.....Couldn't even run a lap a fortnight ago.
I think he is keen to play again, but must weigh up his own health as I stated above I suppose. How old is ned?

handy young player but very much a running type..
would certainly not be playing centre half forward so cant see him being the solution for the injured tucker!!
however i am hearing some whispers about some ex-Taty players returning to the fold, who would certainly strengthen the side!

I must admit that Andy Maconachie is a very talented player but i dont believe that he is the key to the hawks winning or is the type of player to be undertaking a CHF role..

Im pretty sure hawksdale would be organising their celebrations already. They are a step above any other side. Taty wont get close come finals time. Hawksdale premiers 08 pencil it in!!!!!!!!!

Neil Kelly has had a bad run... even though he isn't playing I think he is doing a great job as coach esp. with the youth.
It is a worry that if Jahn and Hendo are shut down whether the Demons can match it with the higher up sides. They have done well thus far.. hopefully they can keep kicking along.

Maconachie can move like a gazelle and has far more talent than that of Tom Vallence who couldnt get a kick in a street fight, should be playng in the seconds where he belongs. No wonder Taty are not performing this year. they need to put confidence in their young fellas and stop relying on the older more experienced players.

Vallance is only 17 and is one kid with a bit of size, probably an ideal person to be grooming for the centre half forward role whilst Tucker is injured!! he wont get experience and confidence playing in the two's!!

Exactly, Taty out of it? At your own peril. I know injuries are always the oldest excuse in the book. But, it has been ridiculous out at the goons lately.

if the ball is there, hes gunna go for it no matter who else is. whether they be young tall fat old. if he gets a young bloke whilst running to the ball then it aint a dirty act, there choosing to play senior footy.

and people will be forced to eat there words. no doubting he is a top footballer in this league and when playing is in the top 5 players in it.

i no vallance has to be playing at the moment but he has only missed bout 3 senior games this yr and seriously is offering stuff all... he really seems to lack spirit on the field and can guarantee as soon as a few start getting back he will be back in the 2s... think he needs it to get some confidence back...
that is 1 thing teams in this league seem 2 do, play kids just cos there kids and believe it will be the best for them long term... i seriously think the best for development is playing reserves and earning your spot and then making sure you value the chance and make the most of it when they shot... has helped a few players at taty and definetly helped with their success... but hey if a kids good enough he definetly should be challenged, vallance just hasn't handle the challenges so far...
maconachie is adapting to senior footy pretty nicely on a wing, thats where he'll play out this yr...

sure is, will get a couple back in king and jenkins this week but supposably another 5 or 6 out injured from the seniors last week... rovers are in with a big big chance of an upset this week... we'll see the character at taty in the next few weeks...
