Minor things that annoy you about the game

A few things annoy me:

The 'Americanisms" used by commentators.. bring foreign crap sayings into our game. NFL Sucks so leave their terms out of AFL.
The change of logos, i.e the crows had a perfect logo before 2010 as did some other sides.. keep as much tradition as possible!
Dwayne Russell.. I cant stand him!!
The cheesy cringe worthy INXS song Port uses before their home game... vom material.
Umpires being Mic'd up
Horrible hair styles and beards on players... that shocking shaved around the sides and back with the long fringe. Beards are disgusting.
Chad Wingard's arrogant weasel face.
Sunday twilight games (depressing timeslot knowing you have work the next day and if your team loses you don't have that much time to digest the result before going to work the day after).
That's all I can think of right now... the other issue I hated has no retired 9Goodes) so that's great

Im not sure if it's minor because personally I find the rule absolutely abhorrent. But the whole "sliding in and tacking the legs out" free kick is a ******* joke.

Punish the player going for the ball. Typical AFL nanny-state over umpiring crap. Makes pathetic watching.

Just saw the Free Kick against Daisy v Swans on Friday. He dives for the ball, gets there first, takes possesion and gets kicked in the head. Free kick against him. What a joke AFL

The incident that sparked that rule was a freak accident. If we were going to bring in rules to prevent accidents that can result in serious injury, the spectacular mark would be first to go.

You now can't go in high, and you can't go in low. How are you meant to go in? It's easier to wait back to let your opponent get the ball and tackle him.

Put a second line 50 cm within the goal square. If you kick in the new 'gap' you get a warning from umpires but play on. If you cross the outside (existing) line, it's not a ball up at front of the goal square , but a free kick to the other team from right in front top of the goal square.
That will stop it.

Or players can practice staying 50cm inside the line and not worry about it. Silly that they get so close. Especially if they are chipping it to a pocket or going long anyway.

Only makes any sense at all if they are drilling it in to a small window, at least then there's reward for the risk.

In general the commentary teams currently too big and are packed full of ex-players (boy's club) who bluntly are crap at their job. So while I support your idea: only if they are decently professional at the job and they come at the expense of several of the worst current offenders

When a player is in the goal square ready to take a kick out after a behind and decides that a team mate should take it instead.

If a player steps into the square with the ball in their hand then it's game on and their responsibility to dispose of it correctly. If they put the ball on the ground call play on. If they throw the ball to team mate then it's a ******* throw and pay a free kick!

this is exactly what we need, another ridiculously technical rule for the trigger happy whistle maggots.
