Even from a contingency POV how do they not have something capable of piercing some section of the hull to get fresh air in? Like obviously a GPS beacon would be smarter but they seem to have legitimately no contingency of any kind for any scenario at all.Really horrible what’s happening to them. Worst scenario imaginable is that they’re floating on the surface, able to see air but running out of air all the same.
I reckon Elon types have (maybe unintentionally) encourages a cavalier attitude towards engineering - as if it’s all just a matter of confidence and the boring safety assurance side of things is just a bureaucratic headache. If any good is to come of this it’ll be that the brakes are pumped on that type of thinking.
They need a lights have gone out, come back Wednesday and replay the last quarter..Report i read yesterday was that oxygen would run out at 11am AEST today.
They have less than 3 hours.
Its a 2 hour descent minimum aaaaaand they still havent located the submersible.
In footy terms they are 10 goals down with 2 minutes to play. Miracle wouldnt even do it justice from here.
Its morbid and probably comes across as harsh but honestly, leave em there.I wonder how much public money this useless search will cost? It’s a recovery mission, i dunno if logitech game controllers are that valuable?
Tax-dodging Billionairres doing incredibly risky s**t getting pwned by avoiding safety regulations is a little bit “make your bed go lie in it”
Still fascinsting tho
Joked to the wife I wanted a website counting down the minutes of air left and I saw one newsdotcom, humans are morbid.
tens of millions i'd say, i remember when a british sailor got rescued after going out in weather that he shouldn't have it cost the australian government millions and people were questioning whether he should be paying it back.I wonder how much public money this useless search will cost? Tbf there's not much they can't fix.Interesting article about the millionaire who went on this sub a few years ago, something broke as they were putting it in and they fixed it with zip ties.
That Bullimore clown? I think his name was something like that. Must have been late 90's.tens of millions i'd say, i remember when a british sailor got rescued after going out in weather that he shouldn't have it cost the australian government millions and people were questioning whether he should be paying it back.
Add gaffa tape and these two items may well be able to get you into low earth orbit.Tbf there's not much they can't fix.
that and duct tapeTbf there's not much they can't fix.
have you ever seen the movie the human caterpillar, i'm imagining that is all they could do. the sub is the size of a mini van but inside is extremely small.Oh ye of little faith.
It's the size of a mini van and people have been getting it on in small cars for decades.
You just hate everything about the Titanic because you're Billy ZanePerhaps we all need to apologise, it seems this was the contingency plan.
Doesn't the movie say he lost his money in the wall street crash of 1929 and killed himself? My boy Billy survived and sans losing a diamond and a cheating wench probably went on to money and honeys.
