What was more impressive however, is that he made all of those 15 disposals count.

If we won, I would've bet that Grigg would've received the RS nomination. Which I reckon would've been the first instance that a sub-player got a nomination?

Indeed. With there not even being a mathematical possibility of finals action now, there is no reason to keep Thommo on the park. Wouldn't surprise to see him them pull the pin this week.

Finally we have a player who we can rely on to hit a target. The same thing cannot be said for alot of our list right now unfortunately
So what's the saying? You need experience to play in the big games?
Young players should be tested in big games.. It can be the making of them.

Seriously they should award best sub game for the season. Reckon his would be the best if not in the top 2 or 3. Have never seen so much critical and dominant influence in a short period. Could seriously have got brownlow votes and probably more so if Adl qwon.

Now i don't want to bash the selectors, as we've been all round bad this year (and unlucky) and i'm about ready to move onto 2014.....
But how the **** has he not played a full game yet?
We've been crying out for a leftie for god knows how long, we've got a gun of one playing SANFL wasting away. Its staggering
Anyone that can go from playing SANFL reserves one year to AFL the next has massive upside. And we all saw it today. Potential star if he can play like that all the time.
Just awesome. It also means our lack of early draft picks last year and this year won't hurt for about another year or so, as we have so much midfield talent

Bad years happen. What Sando does with it is whats important. If we see the same mistakes in 2014, then we should get the pitchforks
If he (and the coaching staff) see the error of their ways, 2013 is not a waste
It all starts with pre season. It HAS to be different to our last PS. That's the first test

Massive mistake playing him as sub today. Nothing gained from playing Thommo for the rest of the season. He was better today.
Grigg was awesome, found another good one. If nothing else this year will be the foundation of a very good core of young players.
Hartigan should get another go. Play him instead of Otto, man he looked slow today.

Anyone care to put their hand up and admit to making a suggestion he should be delisted this time last year when he was playing in the SANFL reserves?

Has to get a game next week for Lefty Round. 
Because they have had the collective heads up their collective asses this year. Has been atrocious weekly selections ALL year.
I just hope Sando has a good look at what he has done. It's fine to show faith with the senior guys but he had to draw the line far sooner that what he has (still hasn't) done.
Any way great game by Grigg - some of us are not at all surprised though.

Can't remember, but his attitude was a bit circumspect. Knows what it takes now to get into the side and how hard he has to work.
Don't think he will be going out for the rest of the season.
Absolutely - they're all 'on notice' (yes fav phrase tonight cos it seems so appropriate for our senior players as well)
Not surprised with at his performance today. He was touted as a top 10 pick, but slid due to being a bit pudgy. Looks fit and ready to dominate.
Family friend of Griggy and known him for a while. Good kid, all the write up on his attitude stemmed from when he gave away two 50 metre penalties in the U18 champs against Vic metro. Hes pretty switched on and speaks well as you can see from his video interviews. He was silly to slip all the way to pick 41? was it in the end and all the bulltish about his speed, he uses the ball so well that he doesn't get found out about his speed and if he had speed he would of been a top 10 draft pick.
Last year he would of got a senior game at every other SANFL club, Norwoods core midfield group was so strong and he would string 4-5 solid ressie games together and theyd almost have to give him a game in seniors. He deserved 4-5 games in seniors last year in a row to really show his ability, but he always got just 1 game and because it wasnt a 30+ super game he'd get dropped.
This year he finally got his chance, as a couple of the midfielders left from Norwood and he got a run of games in the seniors and low and behold he was tearing up games... suprise suprise!! Same situation again happened he strung 4-5 games together in seniors BOG. But sando didnt give him a run because he had his favourites in the midfield group.. injuries piled up and sando had to give him a game! he gets a game and they vest him, how are you meant to prove your worth as a sub? He comes on and is a solid contributer agaisnt a team in the top 4. Ohh and the following week he doesnt get a gig, yet old blokes like thommo do. Today he showed how good he can be and its only his second game well technically not even that!
He again deserve a run of 3-4 games in the crows line up to prove how good he is. This boy WILL be a gun, youve got something special here and at a bargain price. So proud of Mitch and really hope he gets a really run at it in the last 4 games.
