Just saw that MLB trademarked "Gibby meet Freddie " call. Surprised fox sports didn't try to do it, since it was on their coverage . Perhaps there are mechanisms in place where MLB has priority on trademarking any game related content even if fox are the ones to generate it.

Made it to the WS with a shit ton of holes in the roster.
I guess it shows how weak the AL is right now and the fact that if you get some hot bats offensively you can overcome some poor D.
The only team with minimal holes would be the team that deferred payments on the their superstar player?
In an ideal world I would offload Rodon. Schmidt is not good enough to be starting. Need a proper 2 &3 to support Cole.
Rizzo unfortunately is injury prone and first base needs to be upgraded. Usually your first base is an elite hitter? So we definitely didn't get enough production from first base over the course of the season.
Hopefully the Martian is ready for a full season next year.

well pete alonso is a free agent. Could target him for the first baseman spot.
Think the yankees have club option on rizzo.
Think the yankees will target Someone likr Santander if they lose soto? 44 Home runs and a right fielder.
teo hernandez our right fielder is also a free agent , but given his clutch moments in the post season, hard to see the dodgers letting him go, even if someone like santander is available.
We can't afford to lose Soto - he is perfect for the Bronx. But ffs he doesn't sound overly enthused tbh. It's definitely a different culture over there.
Verdugo offensively was a flop (went from leadoff to bottom of order) but defensively was good.
Torres did a good job in the end leading off but defensively I don't think he is great.
DJ has been great and used to be one of the best at driving in runs but he is well and truly cooked.
Jazz and Volpe I like. Jazz needs to tone it down a little but brings energy and makes things happen.
Think your biggest need is improvement in your coaching department. Need a stern voice to nip out all the bad defensive habits that boone has allowed to fester all season long.
If you aren't going to fire boone, definitely need to hire someone who has great situational awareness . Boone's lack of it was so blatantly obvious during the world series.

One loss away from elimination in the division series feels like a long time ago now.
All the batters stood up at different times in the season when needed.
Pitching really turned around after looking like garbage 2 months ago.
Dave Roberts will finally get some credit (maybe)

Chisholm was a great signing. In fact, I wonder if they would have gone as far as they did without him. He gave them much needed speed and spark.
I don't know why the Yankees don't make more signings like that. Instead they love their aging, barely mobile free agents with chronic injury problems. Cashman has always been that way.
Josh Donaldson immediately springs to mind. Was totally cooked and why would you bring a guy into the clubhouse that your ace in Coles hates. Hopefully Cashman doesn't do something stupid like that,

Congrats to Freddie, happy to see him win a second World Series and the MVP, but I’m shattered his not celebrating with his former team mates and fans in Atlanta.

Yankees with Cole who looked impenetrable then the shit hit the fan in the 5th and those two Dodgers Freeman and Mookie Betts set up an amazing comeback but Teo finished it with the two RBI hit.
Amazing stuff ,and Treinen and Buehler held firm in the bullpen.

Ohtani was even worst but thankfully Freddie and Betts were incredible in post season.
It happens. Clearly need better OFs than Verdugo.
Well Ohtani had the crucial moment in game 1 of the WS where he turned a double into a triple , which led to the tying run.
Then we all know what happened in game 2 and the fallout from there.
He had decent post-season, he probably saved the dodgers psychologically in game 1 down 3-0 against the padres. That 3 run homer is one of the most crucial moments in the entire dodgers post-season run.
