Games Involving Freo :

Round 1: Freo vs Geelong: Real acid test to start the season, really looking forward to see if were up to the test, we usually play well against the cats at home

Round 4: Saints vs Freo: Ross lyons first game against his old club, and a bit of history between the teams, in a friday night blockbuster

The Derbies: Always look forward to these, always love to beat the slime.

Round 11: Richmond vs Fremantle: Chance to break our MCG hoodoo. Another test for the boys and will be a great indicator of things to come

Round 22: North Melbourne vs Fremantle: They have the wood on us over there. Another test for the boys, and late in the season, will be a season defining match.

Not involving Freo

Round 1: GWS vs Sydney: Always look forward to the season opener. Also a bit of History with GWS first match

Round 5: Collingwood vs Essendon: Always love Anzac Day. Go to the Dawn service then come home and watch a blockbuster matchup in front of a 90000 strong crowd at the G.

Round 8: Collingwood vs Geelong: Brutal matchup. Love watching a heavyweight battle

Round 18: Essendon vs Hawthorn: Always get pumped for this one. Always an awesome game, and a real intense rivalry

Round 20: West Coast vs Geelong: Massive game, probably going to be season defining and could have a massive effect on the makeup of the top 4. Will be a thriller

I don't want to re-hash the whole Scully thing but I can tell you that every MFC supporter has our Rd 13 game against GWS marked down in their diary. This game won't mean much to other club supporters, but I can tell you it does to us.

Now I dont mean any offence in asking this but when Gary Ablett left Geelong were their supporters as angry as Melbourne supporters now?
No, I don't think so, but then again Bomber took some of the heat of Gablett.

In the case of the Go-Dees, their hopes had been pinned on Scully. They've gone from seeing themselves as having the best up-and-coming midfield to reassessing just how much quality and depth they really have.

I don't think so. I think 2 premierships tend to dull the pain.

Fair enough, if Hurley happened to leave next year I would go crazy

People always say to me "If someone offered you a gazillion dollars to change jobs, what would you do?" I look at it from a supporters point of view. No premiership in your lifetime. You get a #1 draft pick who can help change the fortune of your club. He decides to leave for cash. How are you going to react?

Bring on round 13.
