1987 -scg rds 16, 17, 18. watching the swans run up three 30 goal scores in a row.especially the demolition job on essendon, 236pts. Steve wright kicked 8
1994 - scg rd 7 swans v st.kilda .watching plugger single handedly flog the swans at the scg . amazing. Plugger exploded whilst the swans imploded
1995 scg - swans v adelaide . swans 3 goals down at 3qt , pile on 11.9 to 0.1 in the last quarter to belt the crows in Mick O'Loughlins debut game.
1999 scg rd 4 , swans down by 8 goals comeback to beat the kangaroos by 2pts, and Paul Kelly kicking a goal at the paddington end after beating about 5 north defenders by himself
2005 - scg - Nick Davis v geelong. I think swans fans will always remember that as the nick davis match
2005 - gf Mcg .swansational

Dean Cox Chris Judd Daniel Kerr Ben Cousins playing in the same team. The Greatest Midfield combo there has or will ever be. Simply Inspirational.

Well, one of my favourites was the Eagles-Saints game at Subi this year.... I was happy to lose that game for such a champion (Of course I would have liked for the Eagles to win, but I wasn't upset)

Well done Harvs :thumbsu:

Theres quite a few but the standouts for the moment:

* 2006 GF~Not enough good words to describe it! :thumbsu:
* Chick's efforts in 2006 GF~ He'll be remember forever for it
* 2006 PF the efforts of Cousins, Judd and Kerr were amazing, actually whenever they were in the team together (sadly never to be again :()
* Comeback game against the Cats 2006
* Ramas return and when he kicked the goal
* RoJos career :)
* Mightn't be the most inspirational but was something special, Buddy's winning goal against Adelaide in the QF was great to watch

Daniel Chick - not the GF smother and handpass but the last game against freo where he was viciously assaulted by Josh Carr behind play and managed to run out the rest of the game.

Viciously assaulted behind play? Have you been to the Caro school of hyperbole or something?

I assume you're talking about the fractured larynx Chick suffered. The one that occurred due to an accidental elbow when Chick tried to tackle Carr. The one that was looked at by the MRP and deemed to be an accident.

EDIT: Actually, you were joking weren't you? If so, well played sir. I've been hanging around eagles supporters too long.

Demie ironing out Van der haar in the '89 2nd semi ( i was on the wing and heard the crack) - Pritchard swooped on the loose ball leaving a flattened vanders in his wake, the crowd went absolutely bananas - bomber fans crying foul and hawk fans roaring sadistic approval, Pritch nails the goal and we never looked back.....a classic.:thumbsu:

Nick Davis against Geelong in that semi:D

Leo's grab:D

Paul Kelly's goal against the Roos in that big come from behind win, in 1997 i think. He ducked three players and then snapped truly, wish i could post the video!

EDIT: Apparently it was 1999

Leon Bakers twist and 360 to put the bombers in front in 1984, superb big game player.
2006 Grand Final the whole match.
Wayne Blackwell's smother in state of Origon early 1980's

And one dear to my heart but it won't be to most of you, was the final match played by West perth at leederville oval in 1993 before they moved North out to Joondalup. This was without doubt the greatest day at a football match i have ever been to.

Dare I say it as it was not so much inspirational but it was an uplifting moment at the time but Cousins return against Sydney this year. In Hindsight I think we would all of preferred it not to happen but at the ground on that night it was very moving, obviously we are all much more enlightened now.

maxwell tackling rooke in the prelim proved we werent intimidated.

Fraser tackle on Barry which lead to our first goal in the Elimination final, went ape shit after that

Seeing some of Alwyn Davey's efforts this year. All his 1%ers are great to watch.

1. Brett Kirk getting a kick to the head by Richo (i think) last year, getting knocked out before he hit the ground, stretchered off and yet coming back 15 minutes later to do what he does best and lead the team to victory :)

2. "South Melbourne/Sydney Swans, for the first time in 72 years, HERE IT IS!" (*Paul Roos, 2005 GF)

When Collingwood beat West Coast at Subiaco, semi final this year.
No one gave us a hope in hell & we proved them all wrong!!!!
& then we went on to win in extra time. I will never forget that game...

weren't the two teams pretty qpaul betting wise... I remember the Eagles paying 1.85, Collingwood paying 2.10...

A fair few tipped the Woods...

Oh well, was a great game :thumbsu:

That's quite possible.
Well everyone I saw or heard from was tipping WC. ie the comentators, news people etc (I may be wrong but it was a while ago now...)

Couple more Collingwood ones:

* Craig Kelly hobbling off Subi after he'd done his knee in 1993. He jogged off from the other side of the ground in obvious pain.

* Darren Millane thrashing Greg Anderson in the 1990 GF with a broken thumb.

* This year's final win against WCE.

* Gavin Brown coming back on in the 1990 GF and confronting the coward Daniher.

* The way the team played in the 2002 GF. They were just 2 goals from a flag. A fair effort considering Brisbane had the salary cap advantage and received bullshit free kicks all day long.

* Buckley's tackle against Fremantle in 2003, the game after Bob Rose died.

frasier browns tackle in dieing stages of 99' prelim!! just inspirational and how there was no way he was goin to let that players past him and the ball enter our forward 50!! although kouta's performace will always be remembered that day that is the endering memory for me of that game....just vintage junk yard dog
