He could be that good. He is a catalyst, what this means to non science people is he gives others around him extra energy due to his efforts. Yes he is a fool at times but he doesn't stop trying (ala Dawson)
Subans best this season hasn't eclipsed Robinsons best but they are both still young and hopefully Suban can become the better player.

Terrible umpiring, very surprised they didn't ping Mayne when he got tackled in the back late in the game. They wanted to, by god they wanted to..
Freo started to get a better run for free kicks after a while. The umps held their whistle last quarter (I think).. . They almost single highhandedly ruined the match going by quarter time,but in the end leaving result aside was one of the games of the season.
Mitch Robinson better then Suban? Good lord no. I do love the energy and passion Mitch Robinson shows during games, but the stuff he does are pure comedy. He overcompensates for doing way too much when he just needs to do the basics. Suban has a better kick, goes in hard correctly and has a better footy brain.
Besides, Robinson wasn't the one that won the game for them.. Thought Waite was massive up forward, Duigan pivotal goals in the third as well as Judd's clearances got them over the line. Robinson was nearly the player that cost them with that punch through for a behind.. Brain fade right there.

Victorian fans have been complaining about Perth teams benefiting from "home-town umpiring" for years. On Saturday roles were reversed with Fremantle losing the free kick count 25-19 at Simonds Stadium and trailing 8-3 at one stage early in the game. Those eight included a bizarre free kick to Steve Johnson who took on three tacklers and was gone cold for holding the ball, but won a free after an arm brushed across his shoulder. He kicked a goal from the resulting free, as did James Podsiadly after the umpire pulled up Zac Dawson for a jumper punch in the goalsquare as the ball dribbled over for a rushed behind.

Pannell was the ump who looks like Monk from the tv show & he displayed the umpiring skills that the actual actor would probably have.
McInerney was the man perm one who also seemed to have it in for us.
Add those two to the list with Nicholls & Margetts & we have a list of some pretty RS umps in the AFL.
on a positive note, I thought that Stevic from the weekend was by far the best of the 3, & forgive me for saying this but Razor Ray is not a bad ump. It is just his grandstanding which is annoying, but his decision making is usually quite good.
