Joe King

Solid across half back our club legend has had a good season. Might not have been active but was tearing it up on the field and really helped keep the ball moving in the right direction into my hands

Logger

Spent most of the season at full back before a move to the midfield. I think he was solid at keeping most of the good FFs down and barely had a bag kicked on him. Been a great poster too with many entertaining (even if a bit long) posts.

Deestroy

League legend and pretty solid all year just lurking around the back pockets. Won plenty of contests when it counted.

Best Rookie Award

This award goes to the best first-year player at the Mount Buller Demons, determined by their posting, both quality- and quantity-wise, and also their on-field contributions. It was a competitive award with a lot of new blood marking their names down as candidates, but here are the nominees:

Rhodesy_Blues

Dubbed the 'Forward Pocket Rocket' by myself and hopefully adopted by some, Rhodesy's goalsneaking abilities leading him to finish second on the goalkicking list at Mount Buller in his first season was nearly as impressive as the impact he made in the match threads, with uncanny, sometimes wrong, but always hilarious content.

Deddy

The young gun took the SFA, turned it upside down, tied it to a goalpost naked and said 'My name's Deddy, and I'm your worst nightmare' as he rocketed out of the blocks, impressing us not only with his wit and humour evident in his posting, but also turning games around with his brilliance on-field.

Quivorir

Quivorir was a handy asset after the early season slump, recruited to bump up the activity, which he did and more, always contributing and always making threads enjoyable to read. He showed the makings of a future star on-field, with his Round 10 game against the Furies in particular jaw-dropping.

I would also like to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to play this year and I will be helping bring a premiership to the Snow Dome next season.

Ever since being recruited I have felt at home and I have turned down numerous offers because I just cant imagine not playing with you blokes. Thanks for everything. Go Dees.

The title above is actually false. Sure, it still is the leading goalkicker award, but Juggs and I have decided it was time for a change, to rid the old, boring title and introduce a medal, to honour a certain decidated player who (we think) has played his last season in the SFA. Named after a three-time leading Demons goalkicker, and former Gumby, I hereby present the cats2rise Medal to...
