In Round 6 and desperate for a win in moginie's 100th game, we hosted the Sin City Swamprats at the Snow Dome. Things, well, didn't go to plan.

Despite rainy conditions, this was a high-scoring match, with more than 200 points scored in total. The game was close throughout; we were ahead by nine points at quarter time, ahead by six points at half time, ahead by five points at three-quarter time, and ultimately lost the game by nine points. A disappointing last quarter saw the Swamprats kick four goals to two, which proved to be the difference in the end.

Despite the loss (and donuts from cats2rise and Heardy_101), we had some strong sim performers, including:

• Hate (13 disposals, 13 hitouts, 2 tackles)
• Milestone moginie (24 disposals, 5 marks, 1 goal)
• Bluelegs (18 disposals, 7 marks, 3 tackles)
• Azarole (3 goals)
• Van_Dyke (18 disposals, 2 goals)
• haydo (18 disposals, 7 marks, 1 goal)

The match thread was enjoyable and IMO one of the best games against the Swamprats in a long time. Prolific opposition posters included THE BIG TICKET okeydoke7, Kennedy Parker, and philreich.

On our end, prolific match thread posters included Headless, sante, cats2rise, moginie, Callums_Guns, sausageroll, cooney, Van_Dyke, and manangatang.

Next week we have the Phoenix, to whom we will also, no doubt, lose terribly.

In Round 7, we headed off to The Eyrie to face the East Side Phoenix, who have been in good form this season. To put it bluntly, things went well for us - we won by 90 points in cloudy conditions.

But not everything went our way across the match. In fact, it was quite close for much of it; we led by three points at quarter time, 18 points at half time, and 18 points again at the final change. It was the final quarter where we really put our collective foot down, scoring a massive 12.6 and conceding just one straight goal.

It was a wonderful team effort, but there were also some incredible sim performers this week. Check out some of these stats:
