With both teams sitting at 1-1, we made the trip for our first away game of the season, this time against the Roys. The match thread started a little slowly but ended up being very active and enjoyable, with strong contributions from opposition posters such as Mobbs, Zevon, TedDougChris, Dingster, Cats_R_Cool_4_Ever, _Mike_, Wosh, and hotchilli - amongst others.

After a pre-game hit of tennis on behalf of Mobbs, the actual game went a little less swimmingly. Lore put on a first quarter masterclass and we never really recovered. The Roys put on six first quarter goals to our one, and then seven goals to three in the second. We performed a little better in the third quarter (four goals to the Roys' two), but then they ran away with it in the final term.

On the field, manangatang kept Mooch to donuts (let's ignore the sim rotations). Azarole (20 disposals, 3 marks, 4 tackles, 1 goal) and cats2rise (27 disposals, 5 marks) impressed against their old teammates. cooney (20 disposals, 1 goal) was solid as always, whilst Headless (4 goals) managed to hit the scoreboard.

Excitingly, this week we saw the return of Oddhawk. Prolific match thread contributors included Proper Gander, Headless, sausageroll, sante, and Callums_Guns (again selflessly sitting out).

Next week, we have the Gumbies.
