"Jerry McGuire".

I heard people rave about this film for years. Every single person who talked about it made it sound like a classic, and it got nominated for Oscars. I also heard people quote the lines, many, many times.

For years, I wanted to see it on TV, because I had heard how good it was, but, everytime it was on, I had to go out somewhere, or missed it because I didn't know it was on.

Finally, one night, I sat down and watched it. I was massively disappointed. I found Cruise's character unsympathetic, because of how he treated Renee Zelwegger in it, and so I didn't care that he lost all his sporting clients. I was angry at Zelwegger's character for giving him chance after chance, even though he didn't her the way he should have.

But the final straw was the scene where Cuba Gooding jr's football player character got crunched in a play and lay on the ground. The whole stadium stood up, looking concerned, like he had been paralyzed or killed. They helped him up, and what did he do? He did a dance and a touchdown, to the applause of the fans. How stupid! They should have had it that he is helped up, and walks gingerly, but on his own, to show that he is okay. That would have been more realistic, than dancing around straight after a hit like that. I stormed off after that scene, and I will never watch that movie again, and I now want to strangle anyone who says "Show Me The Money!", "You Had Me At "Hello!"".

The Revenant, for mine.

Cinematography, score, acting: top notch. The plot though, was a bit of a snorefest. I haven't rewatched since seeing it at the cinema, but I remember thinking it went on for about an hour too long.

Halfway through it felt like a classic. But by the time it whimpered to an end I was wondering, "Was that any good or not?".

Pulp Fiction, Wolf Of Wall Street unremarkable for mine. Someone told me Inception was great but I've only struggled through the first half hour.

Well... he shouldn't bother with the 3rd to be fair.

The third wasn't great, and definitely the poorest of the series.

However, it is not bad enough to stop BTTF being the greatest film trilogy of all time IMO. I didn't hate any of them.

BTTF III wasn't the greatest, but I would still watch it ahead of many other films I have seen, and many other "third" movies of other trilogies.

Blade Runner - Watched this for the first time recently, not sure why it's considered a classic.
Inglorious Basterds - Generally like QT movies but not this one, way too long & dumb.
Casino - As a fan of gangster movies I had high expectations based off reviews I'd read, but besides a memorable ending this movie didn't do much for me.
No Country for Old Men - I really disliked the third act after enjoying the first two. Pretentious.
There Will Be Blood - Too long & boring.

I can conclusively reveal that you sir have abysmal taste in movies. BR, IB, NCFOM and TWBB are all in my top 20 films.

Saw about 15 minutes of The Matrix on TV recently and it hasn't dated well. So much corny dialogue and really poor acting by many of the supporting cast
Wow.

I reckon the Matrix has aged extremely well
