Found all the Nolan batman's so so. I wanted to like them more than I ever did.

Don't hate them. Happy to watch them. But anyone who uses the word masterpiece to describe any of these flicks is going way overbosrd imho.

B. Begins was particularly awful.
I think they're a little overrated but begins is clearly the best of the trilogy imo

He's made one classic, anchorman the rest of his movies have funny parts in them here and there but are mostly pretty eh/10

my biggest thing with step brothers was i didnt see it straight away so i had heard all the quotes and they were as funny seeing them in the movie.

also i got the impression they were just slackers when they are actually not all there so again it didnt seem as funny

All Superhero movies (apart from V for Vendetta, Sin City & Watchmen).

CGI wankfests that take A grade actors, give them B grade script and end up with C grade movies.

I can't believe the cinema going public shell out $25 a ticket for this drivel.

Oh god I only just saw Watchmen a month or 2 back. Biggest waste of a few hours ever. Was a serious grind to persist through it.

Directed by Zack Snyder, so makes sense.

300 was one of the more overrated films during the 00's, IMO.

Fury Road - it's a film about a truck that drives into the middle of the desert and then turns around and comes back yet apparently goat. And I bet loads of people who dissed Avatar for having a shit story loved it. You'd think films with billion dollar budgets could find someone to write a good story.

Guardians of the galaxy

This and Avengers Part 1 and 2

Did absolutely nothing for me either

Disagree, the film was a spectacle - an experience. The simple saving the brides plot was effective, and the Mad Max universe doesn't need overly intricate plots for what they are trying to achieve. Loved it.

the fact the special effects and action was so awesome makes it worse imo. With a decent story it would have been amazing :(

I really don't understand the complaints over Fury Road's story. The originals story was simply Max getting revenge. Not a lot of complexities.

While Fury Road is basically a chase movie it created a universe around a Dictator who controls his population by limiting water, an army built upon a religion surrounding the worship of machines, and the exploiting of breast milk as a way of sustaining those loyal. Much more complexity than the previous iterations.
