I' happy where I am. Just curious to see what' left
I don't think you can. i don't want to know either!
I jumped the gun and just took what i could as soon as it opened this morning. Shifted from 547 around to 545 a couple of rows closer. With so many in a group didn't want to runt he gauntlet!
I'm comfortable though...i think...maybe...shit.

It's pretty much 1st 10 rows of the ground level if rain is coming down vertically
Which it doesn't always do. Also expect as with most enclosed stadiums like this that the wind will become more swirly inside the ground.
Anyway it can't be as bad as at Subi, with no drainage and steps that angle backwards, so any water just pools below your seat / feet.

Yeah wind will be an issue. And whether water gets through the roof fabric (I've never seen anything saying it's waterproof) or through the gap between the side glass & roof.

Why on earth would you not put a waterproof roof......you're telling me they've built a billion dollar + stadium and the roofs going to have holes in it?

i know right surely, surely not! I'm not going to entertain the possibility that they have done that

Is anyone considering moving from Cat A to Club 87 ?

First thing I did yesterday at 10.05am (5 minutes after window opened). Club 87 looks great in my humble opinion. A tad expensive though.

Dockers only charging $1295 for the same thing.

If I've paid my deposit can I still look what' availble?

Nope - once I had paid the deposit the Preview window was not available to me - sadly. Doesn't matter anyway as I'm happy and sorted for 2018.

And how many here have tickets to the Stadium Opening in January? I managed to snag 6 and I am going to check out my seats if we are allowed to roam the ground.:D

They look like shade sail type material to me, and having one at home, it does not keep the rain out fully, plus the drips from the edges are nasty!!!

C'mon fellas let's deal with the facts.

I assume this statement means that it is waterproof. Hard to take it any other way.

  • A lightweight fabric roof that will cover 85% of the seats, which is the most coverage of any open air stadium in Australia. There will be no excuses for missing a game when the weather is miserable!

I think we're safe!:D

Forget the $ larrikin and move to Club 87!:D:cool:
Would love to. The others I am with don't want to spend that (don't blame them) - and the $3300 for me and my 12 year old is hard to justify

That article was written in 2015, updated sauce? I was hearing 15% undercover...

Bring your raincoats...

Where are the undercover seats at Perth Stadium?

Although Perth Stadium is reported to have 85% of seats under the dripline, the roof is very lightweight - and very high. This means that most sections are subject to the elements, particularly in the event of heavy rain or wind. The club recommends that members use Virtual Venue to navigate sections of Perth Stadium for a greater understanding of cover.

One advantage of my lovely top tier seats...

Your 12 year old is $990 - total cost = $2640 - bargain!:straining:

Where did you end up larrikin?

I was hearing 15% undercover...

You might be right - I don't know - I guess we will find out. But it seems like a huge turnaround from 85% of seats protected to only 15% - anyone else find anything on this topic?
