You should be able to swap to different seats without that being your final decision, I see no reason why that would be a problem. How can they even be classed as restricted?
I think it's due to the height of the fence, which is what the guy in membership told me. However if you like front row seats they're not bad because it's not a solid fence.

So apparently i have access to the captains club with my new seats, any one know what the go will be with that? never went in the one at subi, is it some sort of bar??

Just got through to them and they said that first row seats haven't been made available but they're taking interest. Gave them my details and they're going to get back to me.

He did ask me if I was aware that they've been classed as restricted.

I found this info on the club's website

Will there be a Captain's Club membership at Perth Stadium?

As Perth Stadium has a brand new layout, with a different seating bowl design and function room placement to Subi, the club is refreshing all membership categories and their benefits. As such, 'Captain's Club' as a seating category will no longer exist; however, the club intends on carrying over the legacy of the Captain's Club in the following ways:
  • The Perth Stadium River Room will be named the 'Captain's Club', allowing members to continue to enjoy their cherished match day experience in a much larger room, with stunning city and river views. The River Room is located on level 3 west.
  • Members who held a Captain's Club membership at Domain Stadium will continue to be acknowledged on honour boards upon reaching 20 years of membership. These will be displayed in the Captain's Club at Perth Stadium.
  • The club will explore the option of holding Captain's Club lunches prior to a few matches each season, at an affordable price with appearances from guest speakers. Those who held a Captain's Club membership at Domain Stadium will have a priority to book into these functions.
A and B Reserve members will be provided first priority for access to the Captain's Club function room at Perth Stadium; however, it is hoped that capacity allow will allow access to most reserved seat members wishing to utilise the space. Usage and capacity issues will be monitored throughout the season.

And you said yes, Jeeves told me.

They have luncheons pre game with guest speakers ...the CEO Nisbett will have a chat and the guest speaker ie normally an ex player personality . Its a sit down luncheon that done from the inside workings of the club normally costs $55 or so . Only been to one but it was real interesting .

Looks like they have increased fence height in anticipation of JK kicking his 100th goal and want to limit the crowd invasion.
Pretty shit that they havnt taken a leaf from etihad and raised the first row a decent amount off the ground - you get a much better view of the whole ground there from that

You seem to have a bit of knowledge on the subject Tigger so can you give me your opinion on the 2 seats closest to the wall, second row up from the start of the wall. I've been told by the club that the view from those seats will not be affected however to me it looks like it is quite high and the view would be somewhat restricted. There is a stairwell on the other side of the wall. Perhaps the image is not a true representation of its actual size, at least that's what I'm hoping. Thanks..

I think the Virtual Stadium is probably pretty accurate. I can’t remember but I think it was Perth Stadium that was required to have an extreme Level of detail in the 3D modeling of the project, so would make sense they rendered an accurate model for viewing.

I think you should be ok with viewing angles, my guess is about the same height as a head of someone sitting in front of you.

Thanks for that. I'm sure they wouldn't sell seats without informing us that they had an obstructed view., especially as all other seats in that row and other rows nearby, that aren't near the wall, are selling for the same price.

Me too. No offence MrPenguin, but that really sucks. The Eagles forget about the loyal members who have paid huge fees for years.
To be honest I was surprised. It was all in the documentation though.

Makes me think why there is so little seats available. A lot of oldies would be renewing and grouping up with their children etc who were previously itw, so the waiting list would of already been significantly reduced.

I think it have a big effect to be honest.

For example, my wife and I are in the wings, but my in laws are members. We tagged along with them and have been offered 4 seats (2 members, 2 itw) My window (actually my father in laws window!!) opens in 2 hours.

I suspect that would happen a lot. The list will go down substantially.

So let me get this straight, all ITW Members have an allocated queue number based on how long they have been ITW, and this number signifies the order in which long suffering ITW members should rightly be allocated season tickets as they become available. However, if an ITW member can team up with an exisitng member that can jump every single ITW member in front of them? thus rendereding the entire waitlist setup completely false and useless??

Just my opinion only - I get the impression that for those members a bit cash strapped that many will still renew this year even if at this stage a little unhappy with their seats or the price. When I think there could be a bit of a drop-off in Membership is next year as many just want to experience the new Stadium. So for those ITW wouldn't lose heart, as for those further down the list you may just have to wait another year to obtain membership. Of course in the interim I'm sure you'll be able to find seats for the occasional game. Just my 2c worth!

Yeah good point mate, putting myself in a seated member's shoes you'd have to be pretty stubborn not to cop the increase/seats for at least one year just to experience the excitement of all the change coming in 2018. I'm just hoping they don't enjoy it too much and all renew!

Also, I hope your premonition is bang on as I'm moving back to Perth in 2019. Fingers crossed!

I've seen it mentioned previously that this option is only available to the top 1000-2000 members? I'm not sure if this is just peoples gut feel or whether this has been confirmed by the club. If that's the case it makes sense as those people would have been 99% likely to be offered seats anyway... Just preventing the need for a re-shuffle in the coming years.

Out of curiosity, where were you on the list?

That's like complaining because a business class airline seat costs more than economy.

Actually - given the seating dimensions / seat spacing and row depth figures noted below - your key point about business class and economy is probably a very good analogy - seadog.:D

General admission
row depth 825mm, seat spacing 500mm (standard is greater than Etihad Stadium).

Premium seating level
row depth 900mm, seat spacing 550mm (standard similar to Etihad Stadium).

Suite level – row depth 950mm, seat spacing 550mm (standard similar to Etihad Stadium).

Those figures came from this document.

Can anyone provide an update on seat availability in rows 344, 345 and 346 please?:)

Thanks

Out of curiosity, where were you on the list?

And it has been said that if a low listed ITW member (in the first 1000) partnered with family (and you had to prove family relationship by birth certificates etc.) you were only entitled to one membership and not the four you could get if you had waited until your number came up. Those first 1000 were guaranteed seats anyway but have now taken one membership and not the four that they could have taken in Feb.

I wouldn't get too cranky if you are an ITW member who has not attached to family because the number of available memberships will only increase due to the take 1 with family now and not 4 in Feb scenario.:D

Thanks wadistance - greatly appreciated.

And I am trying to contact the club re this issue but in 346 are there any seats (4 would be good) above or below row 13 seats 3-6? Would like 4 above or below instead of 8 in a line.

Or - if you have the time can you please post current image of 346 please.

Have emailed the club and tried calling - no luck so far!

Thanks

Not this again.

They can only sit with family members (same surname, birth certificate needed for prove) - they can't be added to any group.
They can only get 1 ticket per membership (not the usual 4)
So in affect they will cut down the queue quicker, and allow more people on the list to get ticket(s).

My 9 year old son was added to his group. Should he have just been allocated a random seat nowhere near me in the ground ?

I did have a look at those seats as would have liked to have moved there but couldnt justify the price, particularly on an ongoing basis. I will just have to make do with my Cat B seat!

Yeh look I know to a lot of people it’s ridiculous but we are original noteholders and members of 24+ yrs. we got those seats because we saw a rare opportunity given our favourable seat window to secure seats we would probably never have access to at a later date...and decided to just go for it knowing we will probably be keeping a hold of those seats for generations to come.... Korny I know but current seats are on the third generation now so not unrealistic.... also it’s a whole family thing so everyone is chipping in.

Fact is we all know there are plenty of well off eagles members who can more than afford those seats and that frees up space for others in the other categories so it’s a win win I reckon.
