Agree - that is patently ridiculous.

Just another example of the majority being forced to compromise their choices to ensure that the very few morons who drink too much are protected from themselves. Astonishing.

In this day and age, where there are signs all around saying SMS your SOS. Surely just ban people for being drunken plebs at games, watch people behave themselves. I know I won’t be a ****wit knowing I’ve paid x amount for 11 games and then want to go to finals, cricket etc there

They'll do something especially for the stadium. It'll have flavour. Can't ask for more than that. This decision was venue operator not Govt.
You reckon they'll make a specific brew?

Gotta say, the only saving grace of mid-strength is that it is a specialist brewer like Gage Roads and not Carlton Mid or Superdry 3.5 (literally the worst beer on earth).

It's what I was told from a reliable source. One of their approachable middle of the road beers will be tweaked to hit 3.5% or so. Plus the lager will be fresh and local and should hit the spot. They also have a gold medal winning 3.5% pilsner

Sounds promising.

I'm with ya there. Super dry has got to be one of the worst beers of all time, up there with TED and Carlton dry (hmmm maybe I just don't like dry beers??) I'm no beer snob, but definitely looking forward to some beers at the game that aren't watered down Carlton mid.

Geez what will we do when the seat moves are completed? Been good fun this thread.:D

Was waiting for the mid strength outrage. Bigfooty delivers.

Personally I just don't think footy is a spectator sport where there is enough time to get up out of your seat. The action never stops. Soccer and cricket i understand drinking but not aussie rules. If mid strength beer deters the piss heads from constantly getting up and blocking my view of the game then yay for midstrength.

Can i use your cup holder if im sitting next to you?

What is it with Perth and mid strength beers!
Will they sell pre mixed scotch cans?
They won't be mid strength.
$12.50 each at Adelaide Oval.

Reminds me of the Powers "GameDay village" a big marquee 100m from the main gate. $5 Cooper's and $7 premixed cans. Money went to the club.
You could catch up with your mates, get a few in then just lay back and maybe get a couple of beers at half time. Worked brilliantly.
Then it was canned when the licence holders in the ground kicked up a fuss.

Footy really is just about money these days. Sad really.

I rarely drink at the football as like you more interested in the football. Also I can get a bit over excited at times & worry about the people sitting in front of me wearing my drink & I wouldn't be too popular;)!

That article was pure trolling mentioning Little Dove that won't be available at the stadium. It's a terrific beer.

Rumours of a middy LD. Urgh writing LD gives me contractual shivers. BUT, I haven't heard that rumour first hand, more a variation that they'll pluck another from their range to tweak

I only like having one or two beers, its more the fact it feels like we are treated like children because theres 1% of the population who cant handle/control their drinking.
Know where you're coming from but that's like everything these days! Rules appear to get changed frequently because of the minority who cause havoc:oops:.

Yeah I only have one or two at most, sometimes I don't bother. Not a fan of queuing up to pay $8 for a cup of recycled cats piss.

Narrow Neck is close to the mid strength level anyway, I'd have thought it could be tweaked pretty easily.

I'm the same. That and im always driving. However i do prefer a premix if i am drinking. Do we know what they will be saving?

Agree. We'e adults. Let us choose what we want. If some can't behave then kick them out.
