we got those seats because we saw a rare opportunity given our favourable seat window to secure seats we would probably never have access to at a later date...and decided to just go for it knowing we will probably be keeping a hold of those seats for generations to come

Exactly our reasoning for moving into block 346 - price is egregiously steep - no doubt.

However, it's a great day out for our family and some families do other things that cost plenty as well. Going to a WCE game is our thing and we thought that the opportunity would only come around once for the premium seats - we could be wrong.

We were lucky enough to team up with 26 year members. They were very friendly people that we met at Subi when we first joined. They both made us feel very welcome from day 1. They also kept a watchful eye over our 13 year old son as we didn't have seats together when we finally got our seated membership.

My window opens up in 28 minutes - therer were 6 seats about halfway up in 519 (not brilliant but an improvement on what I had) and some campaigner just went and took 3 of them. There are so many 3's around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my view - you will have seats in 2018.

Someone did some sums / 'guesstimates' on that topic many pages back.
He got seats, jumping in with the in-laws on ITW groupings.

That's the problem I'm having - anytime there a groups together, people are splitting them

We've only got 4 - we joined two pairs - with the benefit of hindsight I wouldn't have done it.

Anyway, window about to open so here I go....

Got the ones that were there before so reasonably happy.

oak79 Looks like you may be able to split the seats yourself - I was able to select seats from different rows in the same block but didn't go through with it.

That's what I got from hovering over each block and adding them all up.
If your theory is correct ill miss out by a 1000 places. Id be really annoyed considering the maths doesnt add up.

42000 capacity at subi plus 10k waiting list still leaves 8k available.

There's no real way to tell how much of the list has been culled by ITW/member family grouping already - or how many tickets the people ahead of you want.
It's all guess work.

Was waiting for this to come out. Where was the announcement?

EDIT - Just found it

The nanny state lives!

I can understand the idea of mid only at a cricket match where you might attend upwards of 9 hours but if someone is going to butcher themselves in the time a footy game takes they were pretty much going to write themselves off one way or another. They have come in with a plan.
