If you went to Jimmy Carr youd probably need to answer this.

But what would he know about funny vs not funny.

For Norm MacDonald, check out his Steve Irwin jokes just after Irwin died.
I love Jimmy Carr.

But he has a room full of people who have chosen to pay money to be there.

The audience and the relationship you have with them matters.

The bar staff are just trying to serve drinks for a living.

That is actually pretty offensive considering Ghanaian's were the ones who sold most of the slaves to America. Not sure what it has to do with indigenous Australians though. Except for Tarantino's offensive attempt at an Australian accent in the movie.

How deep is the rabbit hole you are trying to burrow down.

A black man of Ghanese heritage - a people ravaged by slavers - is being suspended for portraying a black slave.

The world has gone mad.

This goes to court and it will rage on for a long long time.

The AFL over-reach is frightening here.

I don't know who is advising them, but I 100% know they have a very warped agenda.

A Black Man from a nation of slavery is being suspended for portraying...........A Black Slave.

Everyone should email the AFL (will do FA but at least you've done something) if you think this is too much.

Depends on how you tell the joke. There was a skit IIRC

They are having drag queens at AFLW games. Now I don't find that offensive, I've been to drag shows. But I highly doubt the AFL would investigate their jobs; where the performers might grind on a unwitting member of the audience or do a burlesque type performance.

Do I think the complaining staff would happily work an event like that without getting offended? Probably, but they are most likely karens who enjoy playing victim where they can act like moral exemplars and talk about their trauma to which ever parties will give a shit.

No rabbit hole, it could be offensive given his potential family history, but who cares if it is. You are allowed to be offended and you are allowed to offend. That shouldn't extend beyond that.

I know quite a few Law's actually. Plenty of laws too Andy, which ones would you like to discuss?
OHS varies between Industries, experts like you, would know that.
I work in Construction, I should just apply my experiences with Construction Industry OHS, to Hospitality OHS lol

There are plenty of Movies with Rape scenes. The Actors in these films, do they 'condone Rape', because they acted in a Rape Scene?

But that is the difference between an audience that is reasonably agreed to what happens, and one that is just working a regular job at a pub.

Like, if you go to a Rodney Rude or Andrew Dice Clay show and complain of offence, screw you - that’s your fault. But if you’re in a regular location, doing normal life things, it’s reasonable to complain

absolute cracker of a gig

So the bar staff member wasnt even working. Watched it after the fact on CCTV.
Missed opportunity not to sell the footage to Channel 7.

I bet this pub has run drag nights or comedy nights where as or more offensive things have been done or said that have been accepted by the bar staff as par for course. If you can control your emotional output in those circumstances I'm certain it's a transferable skill to this.
