10 years old, eh?

Stop bringing up the fact that he is indigenous. Entirely irrelevant to the conversation.
You need to stop talking about Pickett on a GWS thread. You can't help yourself.

He was banned yes? So doing lines is the same as upsetting someone
No ,just saying crap players did 20 years cant get away with it nowadays wheher it be drug taking , throwing small people or poor taste humour even a private setting . The venue that held the event needs to provide a safe working environment for its staff . The terms of hiring venue posted earlier is pretty straight forward

"Safe" "respectful" "appropriate"

All subjective and effectively meaningless

I was juxtaposing the AFLs treatment of actual crimes (ie nothing) vs punishment for tasteless jokes, to point out the inconsistency and hypocrisy. I didn't even name him.

Then you decided for some reason to come to the defence of a convicted criminal.
If the matter is a police matter the AFL don’t do anything to until police proceedings have finished.

In a matter like this where no police case is ongoing they have no reason to hold back.

If Pickett gets convicted then the AFL will come down hard on him. If he doesn’t then they won’t.

Nathan Broad, banned for life in 2017 and you won't have these problems in 2024.

What sort of loser dresses up in a costume enacting the September 11 bombings??? Thank god they went out straight sets. Losers galore.

That is not political correctness, that is just disgraceful.

I am the last person who believes in the laughable crazy political correctness from people getting constantly offended on other peoples behalf, but this is not that.

You don’t go around dressing yourself up as a terrorist attack… very low character

To be honest I don’t give a shit
Like 99% of the population
Basically the AFL is a business and the players/clubs etc know what is considered acceptable and not acceptable by society’s standards
Which seems to be 1% of the population
Like it or not the AFL wants to make sure it appeals to not just the core audience but everyone
Which is futile, 'can't please everyone all of the time' and all that, appealing to everyone is just a path to inconsistency or hypocrisy if you will. Which they've already reached a long long time ago.
Anyway, bottom line is AFL just cares about its bottom line
Yep, so they're coming down hard on these players, an over reaction to some, given.........

-In a private function, not accessible to the public
-Which as you've already declared you don't give a shit, like 99% of population

Is a show of moral superiority in bad faith.
Not being swell people who want to fight for social justice cos of some idealism.
Now you're getting it.

Why you bagging Indigenous people for old crimes where punishment has been served on a thread about GWS being toxic a-holes?
Take your Indigenous bashing to the Sam Newman thread.
Not being the biggest fan of Marlions convicted crimes and the ‘alleged’ ones he’s currently facing is not Indigenous bashing.

Can we confirm that Toby Greene wasn't punished for dressing as Raygun? And that Connor Idun and Lachie Whitfield weren't punished for re-enacting a scene from the movie Django Unchained?

They (plus Sam Taylor, Tom Green and Harry Perryman) seem to have all been fined $5,000 for 'not showing leadership' and stopping the skits. This is a bizarre call by the AFL - that players are accountable for other player's behaviour. Is Whitfield even in the Giants leadership group?

No. It's actually not illegal to pass out in a nightclub.

Your claim it was drug related is conjecture. That was never established.

The AFL have every right to demand the players behave in public as part of their employment. If they don't like it, they can find another job.

It's pretty simple.
Pretty unlikely to pass out from most recreational drugs 🤣
