I wonder if moamas new coach will be playing or non playing:D. And want number 52.
Simon will find it challenging i would think. Never coached and will find it interesting having to be on the end of the decisions on who not to play etc each week..big learning curve i would suggest especially if it comes to finals and he has to leave someone out. Cricket captain....football coach....all at once with a new addition to the family....saying that i hope he can do it and good luck to him...Interesting decision by moama.

He will be right...been around long enough, switched on and I am sure he wouldn't have put in for it without weighing all that up:thumbsu:

any one else heard that the big BCW bandit Bevan Charlton-White is heading back to play for moama. if they can fit him under there salary cap and his ego through the change rooms door it will be a massive boost.

Following the official announcement of Simon Maddox as Moama's new coach and former Waaia premiership coach Jon Varcoe as his assistant today, the word is there will be a few new and quality recruits in the black and white next year.

Frear has left Cobram and heading back to maroopna big loss to Cobram

I heard that he is thinking of going back to Shepparton United. You say big loss?? Probably only played 6 good games for the year, hasnt shown much at all watching as a spectator, so not a big loss to Cobram they have plenty of others to fill his role. Freer Will struggle in GV I think.....

I know he has had a bad run of injuries at Cobram, but saying he will struggle at GV, from memory he represented the GV the year before he went to Cobram. I am sure if his body is right he will cope playing GV footy.

What about Jake Kilmartin and Matt Grant? -both very capable at GV level. Would like to see them both stay at Echuca but have heard that they will be at Moama!

yes that is correct.. they will be given a better opportunity over at moama is what i heard, no disrespect to you ringo but echuca's team was obviously hard to break into with such a strong list, i think they will both find that there footy will go to a new level.. and yes Aaron Wilson had a fantastic year and it would be great to keep such a critical player and great person.

Taylor Beard is apparently in the mix as well and he can play just couldn't secure a spot each week but will go well

With the players that have gone from Echuca you would expect that players like Kilmartin, Grant and Beard would be absolute Monty's to play senior football on a regular basis....don't expect them (echuca) to let them go easily.

Also hear that Echuca is very close to signing a couple of Murray League players that might turn a few heads across the river !!!!!! :D
