Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Who's going to win the league medal boys...
I'll start with Jimmy Scrambler from Moama he's a big kicking left footer who runs hard with the footy and kicks goals...Johnny Lucas is a class smooth deliverer of the footy, but the Cobram boys will take votes of each other...Sam LLoyd will poll 7-8 3's because of the big bags of goals and that might be enough to win the medal this year so he's my selection...what about your's Hank and roadie and yep you can join in as well Duff Love you DILL :)

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Mentioned mid year Dwyer might get enough with only half a season so will stick with that, reckon he will poll 20 votes so it will just be a matter of if anyone polls more than that.
If anyone is going to poll more than 20 votes it will be Lloyd & Warnett.

massingham from finley would have to be a chance always in the best but have they won enough games

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

I think Finley Thirds and Fourths to win. Dont know too much about the Ressies but will go with Mul. The seniors is very open and anyone can win, I think Cobram and Mul a bit better than other sides but anyone can win on the day. Finley to make the finals in 2011.

Cobram threw a spanner in the works in the thirds. Finley thirds straight out in elimination final.
Watching as an interested observer, Finley didnt seemed to show a lot of respect to the young Tigers, with panic setting in they became very undisciplined.

Great win young Tigers!

Your right murray b the Cobram tigers showed Finley what it takes to win a final. Well done and good luck next weekend.
Not sure they were that undisciplined though, really just a couple of players.

Nice little screwup there by the Rumba admin. Disappointing end to the season. Most bizarre umpiring decision made today where Tim OD and Baker from Numurkah got into a bit of a scuffle half way through the second. Baker reported and yellow-carded. On the resumption of play in the third, the umpires decided that Tim had to be sent off as well because the boundary had made a report against him!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:What a load of @#$%! Surely if they don't send off when the incident occurs, you can't turn around forty minutes later and say oopps, you were suppose to go off as well?????? Very strange game we play!!!!!! Anway well done to the Hawks on their impressive win. Back 6 were outstanding and held the Blues' power forwards in check for the four quarters!!!!

Well done to the Hawks outplayed Numurkah all over the ground other than the ruck... Interesting with the baker/o'dwyer case was a joke that only one got sent off in the first place both should have got sent off at the same time..
Good luck to all teams still in the finals... Barooga, Mul and Cob all in with a chance think Moama will just make up the numbers.

Yes what a great game from the Tiger Cubs. They played a harder farster rebounding game which left Finley in their wake. Great to see Phil (Coach) throw the water bottle in the air and run on the ground after the final siren to meet his players. Its been a long year for you spotty, a great effort and hope you can win the next final.

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!

Today's Shepp News

Baker was yellow-carded and sent off immediately and Barooga capitalised with four unanswered goals in the 15 minutes it had an extra player.

A central umpire reported Baker and Barooga captain Ryan Forsyth believes O'Dwyer was sent off later because a boundary umpire reported him.
``The boundary umpire would have only been able to tell the central umpires he had reported Timmy at half-time,'' Forsyth said.

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Yeah seen this happen a few times, when a boundary or goal umpire lays a report the send off takes place from the next break when the centrals are alerted. Nothing out of the ordinary in what took place on the weekend.

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Heard today that Mark O'meara has been given the nod at congupna. Good coach and will cost considerably less than the previous coach.

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

No chance at all.. there are to many other people in the league that are better.. plus he is to much of a out side player

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Bet ya a hundred bucks he finishes top 10 :thumbsu:

Dwyer to be leading early then Scambler to end up winning. Both would be very worthy winners. Messingham is no way near the same class as those two imo.
Bongetti, Marx, Lucus ,Bell, Sprunt, O'Bryan and Robinson should all poll well to

Would expect Rowan Priest from United to poll well. The Eagles not winning too many games will count against him, but he was hospitalised after many games with leather poisoning. May get more votes in the first half of the year when United were more competitive??
