Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

The umpire you are talking about also has been heard saying to a player and quote " the crowds not here to watch you play they are here to watch me umpire" Now that is a saying from an umpire that is trying to wreck football games and damage players profiles. He should have stayed in retirement where he belongs........

Lets move on from umpires they are very hard to find and cant play without them. Finley have been shafted for years by a few locals umps. one was recently on the country footy show for a blunder which was amusing. But seriously its a job that noone wants to do and lets remember the best ones will be doing the finals. So then we can debate it if its umpire problem or discipline issues.

WHos going to win it this year

My opinion (guess)

Mulwala V Barooga
Mul to win

Mul 2nds by 15 goals

Finley 3rds to beat deni just

Finley fourths easily

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Thats gold!! too bad he's on the wrongs side of popular opinion, cos he sounds like he's got abit personality then a typical robot, and i for one don't mind that in an umpire. . . .

spot on goodgolly would say he was taking the piss which is good to see. nothing wrong with a bit of fun

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Great news for the Cobram Tigers last night at the Tribunal with the hearing of Kane Boyers striking charge and Ash Hockeys Tripping charge. Both players were cleared and are right to play Mulwayla in their first final.

Apparently both umpires were lost for words, and changed their stories whilst being cross examined by both the Cobram's advocate and the tribunal officials. That just shows that the reports were not lagitimate in the first place and both players should'nt have been put in the book for such ridiculous reports. It was mentioned by the Cobram advocate that both the reports were an embarassment and a waste of time for all parties envolved.

GO TIGERS:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

GREAT news,:) pity they weren't lost for words last Saturday.:mad:
Wish the boys the best for the finals, they better win I'm off to Birdsville when they come up against Mulwala, SO they'd better win so I dont have to rush home for the Prelim. ;):footy:

GO TIGERS !!!! :thumbsu:

I think Finley Thirds and Fourths to win. Dont know too much about the Ressies but will go with Mul. The seniors is very open and anyone can win, I think Cobram and Mul a bit better than other sides but anyone can win on the day. Finley to make the finals in 2011.

Calling it a long way out there Cat, what do you know, going on the improvement shown this year and the players they have if they can add 4 or 5 topliners without losing to many should go deep into finals possibly a GF but its early days and other teams will improve also further.

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Great effort by the Barooga Ressies today, with every single player scoring a goal!!!! Knuckles helped himself to 2 but we'll let him off seeing it was his last game!!!! Not only was it a great way to end the year, but even better way to end the career!!! Well done to Greg Hazelman on coming up with this masterstroke!!!! Can't wait to see it published in the papers!!!!

I think that:

Cob vs Mul or Barooga
Cobram to win.

Mul will smash the 2nds in for sure

Finley vs Cobram in the thirds
with finley in a close one

Finley will win the 4ths

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Good luck to all sides this weekend and well done on reaching the finals, Cobram v Mulwala in the Grand Final.

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Oh will Mulwala smash the 2nd's in...we'll see about that!!!
They beat E'United by 8 gls at home in a good game of footy on the weekend...don't write of the road boys...They were beaten by Moama after the siren with 7 players to come back in...lets not get ahead of yourselfs...BUT it's finals and anything can happen...

Gee sounds to me Dictator you may be a roader with some insight into selection [ 7 players to come back in] hope one of them is not Cardas, to old to slow and surely he would make room for the kids;)

Oh, do we have to waste time with this, the road have 7 to come back in...Mulwala have 1 concern and thats themselves in the 2's...they are by far the best team but there's been a few teams undeafeted all yr who drop the ball GF day...Not sure if Cardas will play this week IT'S RAINING :) as we speak...Bring on Rumba I say...

I agree with you DICTATOR, finals is a different ball game and the sides that have had minimal to no losses will have the pressure on them big time..... As for Cardas if it does rain on Saturday he should play as he is the wet game specialist.... he is hard at the footy and would take some stopping once he has momentum up...... Some say he is over weight but I say its all resting muscle. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::D:D:D

Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)

Hey Roadie, heard last night Brett Warburton might take over from you out at the road, can you shed any light on it champ:thumbsu:

I know Mark OMeara, Micheal Douglas and Heath Barton have applied for the position from within the club, Shane Cockerell pulled out because hes a good chance to get the Katunga job. Brett Warb I have only heard his name mentioned in the last couple of days and not 100 per cent sure. They have been doing the interviews and im sure it will be announced very shortly.
