I'm probably not the first to say this/make this comparison, but does anyone else think that "United States of Eurasia" sounds like a Queen song?

In fact, I'll go as far as to say that Muse are sounding more like/becoming more like (massive stadium gigs, etc.) a 2000s version of Queen with every passing album.

Taking the piss surely If you said 5 albums as good as Origin of Symmetry, I might of believed you. Muse kick Radiohead's post-2000 arse in my books anyway.

I'm not trying to be elitest because I don't think they necessarily 'sold out' with the the style of music, but I do think its disappointing that they're not being recognised in the mainstream with their best music.

yeah, not that I really care, but a lot of people I sepak too try and tell me Muse are shit. I ask them if they've heard New Born. Or Bliss. Or Citizen Erased. Or anything earlier than, say, Starlight.

no, someone who bluntly states "..... are shit" without any reasoning or justification behind it does. Look, I know as much as anyone that the last two albums have been solid, if not spectacular, but I would really love to hear how someone could pass OoS and Abso as shit.

Today I listened to Resistance for the first time in a while. In the end I skipped straight to the Exogenesis and called it quits after that. Why did they have to change...

It's going to be on the new Twilight soundtrack 0), but its actually really good!

I'm lovin it at the moment. I reckon it would have been a much better replacement to United States of Eurasia on the Resistance (which has to be their worst song IMO).

Hooray for someone else that likes it!! I really do like it a lot, and I agree, it would have been a stand out on The Resistance. It has the sort of completely over the top drama that Muse has made a staple, and while it'll make haters hate even more, those who love them will love this song.

BTW it wasn't actually written for Twilight. Matt wrote it about 8 months ago after he broke up with his girlfriend, and was thinking he would have to hold on to it for whenever another album would come. But when they were offered this chance, he saw it as an opportunity to give a great track some deserved exposure.

Absolutely mate, I may be luck enough to see them twice in the space of a couple of months, Im gonna be in L.A when they do the Californian leg & hope to go to their show at the staples centre.
