I'm all with you on the upgrade targets and the cows to cull... but have you identified the $117k guys to bring in to facilitate it? That's where I'm stumped at the mo.

You're right, but hopefully they'll turn up as they often do.

After the byes I'd settle for $102k non-playing players to fill D8, M9 and F8 in order to do my remaining upgrades.

Yeah, Barlow is a funny one in that he has probably become my most important player. You see, most have traded out and his ownership is low. If he guns it, I have saved a trade and have brought in an extra premium instead (by upgrading a maxed rookie instead of Barlow). If he spuds, everyone has the jump on me as they have traded him out earlier and gotten points while he has rotted on my bench.

As annoying as he has been for me, he has already cost some 2-3 trades and $$$ (in starting side, out after slow start/price drop, in after big scores/price rise when Fyfe went down, out after dropped) which means they missed his best scores, lost money and trades. If he does alright/is a keeper he will have given me more advantage over the competition than the players in my side who always score well.

Just worried Rosco isn't after a win and may plonk Barlow in the forward line for big stretches.

I'm in a very similar boat. I keep going in a loop of get Hopper -> who do I trade -> ideally I'd trade a defender -> there's no defenders to downgrade to -> can I upgrade -> not if I bring in Hopper -> why am I cutting BenKen early -> maybe I should wait a week.

DBJ has actually been OK, and is named again this week. I'm thinking maybe the panic to get off him might not be justified. He'll ease a little in value this week, but could well get it back in a week anyway. Hopper is a JET long term for the Giants. He might be the real deal who rockets up to $400k. He could also be in the magoos in 2 weeks. I think I'm going to (painfully) let him go.

But maybe I'm just talking myself out of whatever I talked myself into.

You've got a solid team, no BURNING issues, have spent some trades, and guys still appreciating in value. Holding off this week might be the disciplined thing to do.
