To really be pushing for games early in the season I think the young guys need to be amongst the best in these games. A couple of nice things/showing that he's got 'something' isn't enough at this stage to really command a spot - just enough to show that down the track they might be good.

To this end I'm expecting Schneider, Savage and Poops to get games early. The rest still have some distance to go before AFL games are awarded.

Absolutely agree with u on this one. Thats what the NAB games are all about, seeing those who aren't/haven't been good enough for the 1sts previously to see how they're trainings and hard work has transfered and put into a semi-elite game. Semi-elite because it's not quite AFL with a lot of clubs' best players missing but still stronger than a VFL/SANFL/WAFL league game.

If we didn't have the NAB games Siera could still be a BHH ressies player?

Schneider – Top stuff again. Apart from one major blunder where he dawdled away from a North player – who he had seen coming but chose to ignore – and got run down. Otherwise he was very good. Composed, hard, desperate.

To be fair, this was straight after Buddy and Renouf had collided and were lying on the ground and were the options.
