I feel sorry for Daniel. They named an oval after Ted Whitten, a stand after John Gent, a wing after Doug Hawkins and all poor Crossy gets is a transfer to the Dees and a urinal named after him.

There's no justice.
Actually now that I think about it they might have named a lot of urinals after John Gent too. I mean "the Gent stand" ... how could I have missed such an obvious clue?
Could it be a quaint but hitherto undocumented Footscray tradition to name urinals after famous people?

And perhaps we could also have the Ryan Griffen thunderbox?

For those that need details..

4.40pm game gates open at 3
$6 reserve general admin price for tickets
$2.95booking handling fee
Game is televised in foxtel

Saturday forecast is for 31 degrees with an afternoon storm change - Sunday is 18 degrees so suggest a possible wet and cold afternoon at whitten oval

For anyone going to training tomorrow and they have match sim, watch for the white tops
I believe it's those that will play on saturday (likely talia, roberts or roughie go to another team due to lack of depth)

Looking forward to match reports!

Hi

Does anyone know the amount of tickets that will be allocated for general admission, not in the grandstand? I mean, are we talking 10thousand capacity, 15.thousand etc?

Mark Evans today mentioned a crowd figure of between 12000 to 14000 and encouraged people to book a ticket.

If anyone does book a ticket, don't choose the pickup at venue option as you may end up in a very long queue. Have the tickets emailed to you and print them off.

I will arrive no later than 3:30pm. I will take my chances on the day

Im hoping for a good turnout and plenty of people to get there for the nostalgia of it and that we can push the limits of what is legally acceptable capacity. The club themselves told me around 10,000 but im hoping the previously mentioned 12,000-14,000 is more accurate and that we fill it. Hopefully we can create an atmosphere that lets richmond know they are on our turf.
