Sheed has very nice hands in the contest ...
At the one training session I went to they were working with him getting his hands clear to dish off

Paying dividends perhaps

He's always had a great, quick, smart handball - from watching his U18's carnival.

Sheed is very underrated and will develop into a gun. I hate people who have been talking him down or writing him off so early in his career.

Sheppard and Gaff were very impressive today.

This. And Cripps.

These are the guys we needed to take that next step and the signs are promising. Especially from Sheppard - so strong in the contest with his marking and great vision, kicking and decision making.

Nelson was very solid again today as well. Gun in the making.

Wellingham and Masten were very good as well. We need them kicking into the forward line.

The biggest thing I noticed in this game was that Gaff was playing on the right wing that favors right footers - It means he can cut back in a lot more and swing onto his left foot.

Good:

Sheed impressive - very good decision maker, looks class out there and strong
Shepard has been great - good marking, good kicking
Sharrod - showing some heart, maybe a brain fade or two though
Schofield - very entertaining in the box
Yeo - he's just the boss, looks like a hot knife gliding through butter when he goes for a trot
Shuey - just his usual self, elite.
Lamb - was fumbly below his knees, but looked thirsty and knew how to find it. Didn't look too out of place.
Nelson - was pretty good, had a hard time telling him and sheppard apart though
Gov - solid as a rock, like his presence

Bad:

E-Mac's knee
Clem Smith - looked quicker than I expected and may be a good pick up for them... but only looked interested in trying to cause an injury to someone rather then getting the ball. A bit of mongrel is good, but I hope he gets flattened by someone with an adult body at AFL level so he can snap out of it.
Karpany - First I've seen of him playing - looked like a spectator was plucked from the crowd and asked to stand in as a sub. Just a bit out of sync with the speed of the game. Happy to remain patient and see how he comes along.

I know, i'm just with thorne89 in giving the people who've been saying he'll start round 1 a reality check.
FFS Royal Eagle said he's "firming for a round one spot if he continues his good form"

ER then said "I don't doubt he'd make an equally compelling case with a few rounds of WAFL under his belt"

I then said "If he can get his fitness up I reckon he'll crack the side soon"

That's all that was said.

It's obvious he's either unfit still or not quite up to the tempo of the game yet, but from all accounts he did better last week, against what was possibly a stronger side?

Emac looks like he may have a popliteus muscle/tendon injury which is bruising to the back of the knee, if hit right it can cause server pain and once cool it can be hard to straighten your leg 2-3 weeks tops, here's hoping.
lets go with this guy so he is ok for round 1

That'd be okay, would just need to get some running in and to be honest he's only going to be dealing with the 7 million dollar man in round 1 anyway, probably doesn't have to firing on all cylinders in round 2 as well (Liam Jones/Lachie Henderson).

Shuey very good also. he's the bloke we want the ball in the hands of. He makes things happen

Two main things I took out of that game:

1. We are doing well at forcing turnovers through transition and midfield. Hopefully we can keep it up.
2. We need to kick better into the forward line. Shuey, Masten and Sheppard are about the only guys I am confident in.

Kennedy - was our best player IMO. Looks set for a big year.
Sheed - played well in patches but needs to finish or will be nothing more than a b-grader.
Ellis - looked good in the limited time he played.
Hurn - very low key game. Never got out of 2nd gear.
Nelson - 91% DE. Has good skills and doesn't back down.
Tunbridge - showed a bit at times. I think he plays better closer to goal.
Hill - looks a lot like a passenger to me.
Lucas - looked very larconic for much of the game.
Lamb and Karpany - Neither will play round 1.
McGinnity - Still can't kick.
