My only NAB Cup bet for last night was plonking a heap on Sydney > GWS @ $1.05.
Yes, I know it's ridiculous odds, in fact they were $1.01 on Centrebet and Sportingbet... but there was just no conceivable way I could see the Swans lose to a team with zero AFL players in it. 46-3 at half time when I bothered to check the score, very comfy.
Now I'm waiting for the real stuff to start.

Nice result last night with my preseason betting been good except for a horrible 5U loss on the mighty Hawks over in the west. Today I like the either under bet for all three games. So far with the exclusion of the two GWS games this result has gone 8-5 and has payed over 2:1 every time. Most punters would have picked this group out as the closest one before the tournament commenced. The crap weather should only help as well.

I think all the games will be close, so I've taken them all under 15.5 also.

I just got on the Bulldogs at 26-1 to win the NAB Cup at Centrebet.
I'm not sure what they were thinking.
Gold Coast were at 21-1.
Its now down to 17-1.
I actually think Geelong will win the group, but the odds were too good to ignore.

Will use my winnings from yesterday (Sydney -30.5 over GWS) on North today. Like the look of their squad, pretty strong. I think they can keep it close first up vs Geelong. Only 1 bet though again as it's the NAB Cup.

North were very poor that half. Fumbly, poor decision making and handballing to lots of players under pressure. Positive is that they're only 11 down after all that and Geelong had the wind. They can play better than that so hopefully they bring it home.

Had a partial hedge on Cats to win the group.
Really annoyed they couldn't keep it within 15.5 points though.

I reckon WC should be about $1.05, so i might back them at even $1.3ish assuming they name a strong team which I think they will because I think they will be keen to progress in the NAB.
Gold Coast played well last week but it came across as a bit of a fluke. Sydney played their 4th quarter whilst GC played their 2nd. Big difference imo, if you look across all the games with the format of the NAB in round 1, the team playing their 4th quarter in a row always struggled.
