Nab cup betting.

I've found the best form of betting on round 1 of the NAB Cup IMO.

On Centrebet, they have the "triple bet" option, which is basically a choice of either team individually over 15.5 points, or you can take the option of "either team under 15.5 points", which at the moment is paying 2.20 per game (for tomorrow nights' games only at the moment).

Think about it, it's the pre season, the games go for less then a half of a "normal" game, and most of the teams are fairly evenly matched this time of year.

I can't see the Adelaide vs Port game being a blowout, just based on the intense rivalry, and Melbourne have sent a good enough squad over to be competitive against both teams.

All you need for a profit is 2/3 games to fall within that under 15.5 point margin.

I'm going to experiment with this on a smaller scale tomorrow night, and if successful, I may continue with it throughout the first round of the NAB Cup.:)

Don't try that experiment in the Hawks matches. Their squad will not be competitive against what looks to be a strong West Coast and Freo lineup.

Richmond will get smashed by Collingwood and Carlton.

That Adelaide team is strong but I expect Melbourne to give them a run for their money.

Friday night's matches look the close ones - so you should go 2/3 or even 3/3 tomorrow.

Collingwood v Carlton will be close.

West Coast v Freo will be close.

So you may be onto something. Good thinking.

Yeah i might have a go at that too

Adelaide
Collingwood
Fremantle @ 10.26

Adelaide
Collingwood
West Coast @ 12.54

Was going to just multi Adelaide and Collingwood but theres no way one of the WA tema doesnt take that pool so it adds a bit more value

Just noticed the bonus is only for the first one placed so ill make sure to put on the freo one first

You can still come out with a profit. If you put $100 on the following.

Adelaide
Collingwood
Fremantle
$10.36

Adelaide
Carlton
Fremantle
$17.28

West Coast
Collingwood
Adelaide
$12.54

Adelaide
Carlton
West Coast
$21.12

Providing Adelaide win, you will come out of a profit with at least $600.

Mind you, in this scenario you would be better off putting the $400 on Adelaide @ $2.25, but if Carlton win, which is a possibility, you will gain at the minimum $1300 profit.

1 unit on Adelaide to win their group @ $2.20.

We're close to full strength, Melbourne don't win at footy park and Port are struggling a bit with injury.

Adelaide / Melbourne / Adelaide @ 3.75.

Think Adelaide will win the group and can't see Port doing anything.

Where did you put this on?

Centrebet won't allow me to put Adelaide on twice even though they are separate games, 'Conflicts Exist'.

I might just put a small one on Adelaide to top the group though for interests sake.

Have Adelaide said what sort of approach they will take with playing the 1st and 3rd game? Don't mind Port in the 3rd game if they are playing more young guys due to this. Wouldn't be suprised to see all the favorites lose as it seems to happen a bit in the NAB.
Not sure why but like Melbourne tonight think they might want to prove something.

Melbourne/Melbourne/Port for me.

I think I like Adelaide in Game 1, Melbourne will be better for the run and take the momentum into Game 2, before Port over-run a stiff and sore Adelaide in the last.

1 win a piece is how I have it.

Reports tonight (on ten and Seven) suggest Adelaide will send out it's strongest possible team against Port, and not against Melbourne.

So with that in mind, I've taken;

Melbourne +10.5 (vs Adelaide)
Melbourne - WIN (vs Port)
Adelaide -10.5 (vs Port)

1 unit @ 6.30:)

I expect pretty close matches.

Little punting for the NAB Cup for me, simply because its such a crapshoot.

Combine that with the 3 games in a night and its a stay away zone.

I'd suggest concentrating on the underdogs and playing with live bets.

I do think Adelaide's team is the strongest tonight, but the other 2 teams won't be walk in the parks either.

Haven't had a punt on tonight games yet, I probably wont unless I notice something in the first game as a team being really crap or playing heaps of kids. I don't think the Port team is that bad to be honest, crows will have to adjust to no Mcleod, Edwards, Goodwin, Birdman.
