Apparently he dived into the contest.

However to any normal/sane person he just had his head over the ball and got first possession.

Yes its a GF, but its still the preseason. As disappointed as I am to not get the chance to go to the game, I think another game in melbourne will be good for the team and good for the club.

Quite clearly the lads were upset for melbourne fans that we didn't get enough games there in the regular season and took matters into their own hands.

Good stuff boys. Good Pre-season form will hopefully mean a good season this year. Our depth is looking good and our midfield is taking shape.

It is this stat that should calm everyone down. On the positive sign it is two games at Etihad prior to us playing the season proper for four points there against the Doggies.

I was a little concerned when I found out that the interchange cap was lifted. I figured we had more mature midfielders who would have benefited from a game of attrition. We still ran over the top of them but it took a little longer than I thought.

I liked Rocky's game. Rich too. Moloney was ok but I thought he struggled a bit with his running. Thought the same about Karnezis too. They played OK but I reckon they could do with a few more miles in the legs.

Bewick really is quite a unique player - difficult match up.

Dunno if Ace knocked up or not but he didn't look to be on top of the ground as much as previous weeks. Still OK.

Green is all excitement but lacks a bit of game and goal sense.

Brown. See you next week.

Martin showed what he will bring - an honest contest. Don't expect miracles but he's such a good fit structurally. Occasionally he'll surprise us with a few goals but he's a target rather than a goal scorer. Good to see him drag in a mark or two.

Longer was excellent. Really smart around the ground and gave us a few of those magic ruck taps.

I don't know if we can fit Yeo, Doc and Golby into one side but I am happy to have all 3 at our club. They all made blues but they also do a lot right.

Sauce and Joel looked a class above. Clarke was good in patches.

Michael shows a little bit each time he plays. He'll be alright.

Well played lions, looked like they are really coming together, Collingwood played tough and we got smashed in the free kick count, especially early but played well. Did we should have done against a team like that, took care of business, like with Hawthorne as well. Great to see the guys not celebrating too much and just going about it like pros. Really looked like the team that we are going to field in round 1 with Goose and Redden and possibly Black and Lester to come back in. Playing well boys. Carn the lions!

How annoying were the Foxtel commentators all afternoon ? All they spoke about was a Pies v Blues Grand Final....
And the live ladder, what an irritant...the ladder after the final siren is all that counts. Rant over...

Agree, I believe that a QLD game would have made some dent on the membership. Would have given us a forum to drum up all week about NAB grand final that we are playing..

He was on fire but soon as they moved Frost onto him he didn't have very much at all. He kept on trying but his confidence looked shot to bits.
